Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

the stars in their orbits

and the stars in their orbits shone pale through the lightof the brighter, colder moon

Nadya had managed to get the blasted door upright again, using leverage to outsmart the inanimate object into submission, though her hands remained battered and red from the laborious event. All the while she was dancing between being frantic at getting caught to being unbelievably peeved at the hunk of fur that weighed and ton and loped off without a care into the bowels of the apartment. No sooner had she claimed victory and taken a step back to eye her handy work did she hear the heavy footfalls of a large frantic feline ascending back to the door, leaping up and once more sending the poor wood to its demise. Nadya's lips parted in disbelief, standing rooted to the spot staring at the gaping hole that seemed to laugh at her. When she had started the day it felt like it would have been one of those great days with the beautiful warmth of the sun and laziness of trolling the street, not one where she found herself cleaning up after a wild animal. Seriously, how had that child survived all those years without getting caught by a hunter?

Their position had obviously been blown, though from the first door fall or the second was unsure. A neighbor had popped out of his place, striding over calling out, "Hey! What are you doing! I've called the authorities!" Nadya swore under her breath as that's the last thing she needed was a confrontation with the locals which she was actually more concerned about the male approaching the open doorway than the prospective of cops showing up. A simple breaking and entering wouldn't elicit full forces and they always seemed to take their time with such unimportant matters; they had jaywalkers to harass after all. The young girl quickly retrieved her backpack from where it had landed haphazardly on the nearby couch, only as a second thought grabbing Tobias' pants as well. It would have served him right to have to get another pair for running off as he did but she doubted he had another pair from the way he looked. Nadya made a mad dash after Tobias, he was much faster in his feline form and he had quite the head start on her, and tracking for one wasn't her strong suit but following his path of wreckage was easy. Although the city was used to supernatural there was also a level of tolerance, the Weres running around in animal form haphazardly about the city usually were the ones causing mischief that people despised so the shouts and screams that met Nadya's ears were clear signs of Tobias' path. Her converse shoes hit the cement with little sound and with speed that easily covered ground thanks to the beast in her. Nadya skidded around a corner to see a mother tending to her shaken baby.

"Sorry, sorry, he doesn't know better. What, haven't you guys ever seen a shift before?!"

She hurried past the woman, narrowing her eyes and shouting though in agitation at the onlookers watching the odd scene of the two men. Nadya honestly wasn't looking at Tobias' victim-- her concern only to end the scene for what she surely felt was a snap in his sanity. With one last sprint she came upon them, her back more so to Tet as she dropped her backpack so she could try to unlatch Tobias from him, shoving the pair of pants she held into the nude man's chest. Nudity was nothing new for a Were but public displays were usually frowned upon. Her words fell quickly in both admonishment to Tobias and apology to the man who was the unfortunate victim of eating dirt today. The fact that Tobias was willingly touching another being was lost on her in the adrenaline rush that was coursing through her veins at the whole event.

"I'm sorry, he doesn't mean any harm. He gets excitable and....shiny objects...-- Tobias, put.on.your.pants."
