South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

kissing death and loosing my breath
Her grip upon the knife was entirely steadfast, her blade glistening in the afternoon sun as the young girl remained perfectly still amongst the flora and fauna. Her stormy gaze remained steady upon the wiggling bush, entirely prepared for what she might face upon the other side, or so she thought. She had anticipated a hunter perhaps, or a wolverine of some kind, maybe a fox? What she had gotten, however, was a whole different matter altogether. Her nose wrinkled ever so slightly at the large dog that came out of the bush, running at a headlong rush towards her. "Ugh." She grunted immediately in response, her entire posture relaxing now that the viewed "threat" was not so scary after all. The blade was returned to the sheath from which it had first came, her stormy gaze momentarily cast towards the loud creature with a rather obvious hint of disdain. "I get it, I get it, you're excitable. Jesus, can't you shut the fuck up?" The witch grumbled, her hands falling upon her hips as she glared at the barking, bounding dog that continued to circle around her. Geez, this thing was worse than Raven could be. At least Raven could understand her. Mongrels were definitely not within Serafina's forte.

"Look, just, go find your master somewhere else okay?" She continued, leaning over so her hands were on her knees. She stared at the creature for another moment when it failed to comply with her requests, her eyes rolling ever so slightly. "Go on, shoo, get out of here!" Her voice had turned slightly more stern as she attempted to wave the giant dog away from her general vicinity, little thought given to the possibility that the dog might be more than exactly what it was. The witch might have been magically inclined but there was little indication that this mutt might somehow be her friend. In fact, Serafina was far too busy grumbling about her dinner to even notice that hint of instincts that warned her of a Dark Hunter nearby. She had, thanks to Azrael, gotten surprisingly good at ignoring that inner sense of danger at the hunter's presence. "I was hoping to catch a rabbit after these herbs but with all your fucking noise I'd be surprised if I went home with anything alive at all. Raven doesn't even bark as much as you do. Useless dog."

Serafina stepped away from the large dog, her gaze once again returning to the floor of the forest. It was quite clear that she was attempting to ignore the creature's presence altogether, as if by doing so the dog would simply get bored of her and continue on with whatever canine life it had with it's own doggy priorities - things which she intended to not be involved within. She paused at a nearby bush, leaning down to pluck off several of the stems and study them intently. Sometimes, the identification of her fresh herbs wasn't as easy as simply reading the name off a label in the grocery stores. And yet, part of Serafina enjoyed this, becoming familiar with the plants she so worked with. It was easy for her to become distracted in her own task, the witch quickly forgetting her new found 'best friend' altogether. She had no reason to pay attention to the hound after all, having never truly had any sort of connection with the species enough to particularly care and in turn the dog fell to the wayside of her thoughts till she was but a tiny blip on Serafina's radar.
