South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

This Time I'm Not Scared

I have a King sitting on my back. That's right a King. Not just any old King. Not some sort of government figure head that holds unlimited power. I have a freakin badass King on my back right now. I have King Alexander and I am absolutely thrilled. If someone was to tell me that in my future I would be turned into a horse and having King Alexander, in the fucking flesh, on top of me, I would think that person was absolutely insane. Yet here I am. A horse. Walking around the ring. Oh lucky me, lucky me! As soon as we go through one rotation around the ring, I feel his fingers tighten within my silvery white mane, making note how his body leans forward. His command for me to go faster causes me to hesitate in my steps for a moment, I mean, if I go faster he might fall off. The Great King Alexander might fall off me...and I might trample over him...which I don't think would be good. Yet when I feel his feet dig into me a bit harder, I toss my dial as a signal I heard, and suddenly my pace quickens. I am still not comfortable with my huge body, and long legs, and dinner-sized plate hooves, but I manage to get myself into a comfortable rhythm. With a rough snort I kick up the speed easily keeping myself into a study run, feeling the dirt slide upwards behind me, as my hooves fall to the ground.

I have to admit I do like this freeing feeling that I am experiencing right now, even though I have a person on my back. For such a large horse I am rather swift when I simply let my mind go and not think about which leg is in front of the other. I miss this feeling. Last time I felt it was when I ran with Frost and his friends, it was fun, and I miss it all entirely. The feeling of running with others, where I belonged, it was nice and running with real horses wouldn't fix that sudden ache that I feel. It all goes away though when I hear his soft voice filled with praise, and obediently I decrease my speed, now going into a true walk. Still pumped up with energy, I can't help but release a rough snort as I shake my dial some, my long silvery tail swaying side to side easily behind me. I would like to run around again, only this time not in a ring, I want to go outside, feel the cool wind tug through my mane...and just...who am I kidding? I just want to do this training thing so I can at least be useful to someone. It would feel nice, you know? To at least be wanted, isn't that what everyone wants? As he goes on to mutter about someone else coming along, I continue my walking allowing my thoughts to drift, but eventually I catch a different scent in the air and I can hear some of the other horses nicker in interest, apparently someone new was here. Who could it be?

Seeing something out of the corner of my eye I notice a smartly dressed woman coming forward with something in her hand. Both black ears twitch forward in interest as I casually come over in her direction. However, when I hear her compliment me, well I'm sorry, but a compliment like that means that she gets my attention first! Happily I increase my speed slightly, eager to get to the new woman that clearly knows good taste. With a happy nicker I ease up towards the fence, allowing my head to lower over it. Nostrils flare as I bump my large nose into her middle, slowly rising up as I continue to catch her scent, marking it to memory. Obviously I have completely forgotten that I had Alexander on my back, whoops. Sheepishly I turn my dial around to look at Alex, nudging my nose at his leg, apologizing in my own way, but I quickly turn my dial around to see this woman holding the bridle, puzzled entirely as to what was going to happen next during my training.
