South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

for the lips of a forbidden woman drip honey
her speech is smoother than oil
but in the end she is bitter as wormwood
sharp as a two-edged sword
her feet go down to death
her steps follow the path to Sheol

- PROVERBS 5:3-5;;
It might have been a peculiar thing to admit that Serafina had never actually seen a telescope before. Certainly she had heard of them, devices that allowed you to see the stars, but in truth, she'd never been terribly interested within the stars in the first place. She supposed, in retrospect, that she should have been. After all, part of being a witch was utilizing what mother nature provided and stars were certainly a gift from the goddess herself....sort of. Vaguely, she couldn't help but to wonder what the stars looked like, if you squinted through the small device. Did they still seem like foreign far away pin pricks within the sky? Or were they all fiery and swirling with colors like the vibrant pictures in the text book her mentor had forced her to read during her younger years. Her head tilted to the side as her slate tinged gaze shifted from the device to the man behind it. "A...what?" She inquired, her eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly. Frankly, Serafina had no notion at all the differences between telescopes, much less what a catadio...what was it again? An aperture? For a moment the girl looked at him blankly until the mention of something she was far more interested in - the date and the moon.

"No, it certainly doesn't. In fact, it won't happen again for another thirty five years." Dates and moon phases was something the witch knew, especially when it came to such 'unlucky' dates. Call her peculiar but such oddities fascinated the young girl, almost as much as the telescope intrigued her. She shifted to the tips of her toes before rocking back to her heels, watching in silence as he fiddled with the device in front of him. "Welcome to the night life." She responded almost immediately, a welcoming grin touching her fair feminine features. "My name is Serafina." She was by far the best welcoming party he could have found, if you asked her at any rate, although really, if she thought of it long, she'd admit that she could easily be the worst welcoming party as well. Lately she'd have some friday the thirteenth kind of luck when it came to Dark Hunters. She watched him step away from the object in front of him, "Yes, please!" She stated, for once her manners actually shining through (in fact, this was quite a noteworthy thing). The girl slid carefully between the man and his telescope, entirely oblivious to the fashion at which her skirts might brush against him. Personal space was something entirely nonexistent within her world.

She leaned forward, her eyelashes fluttering as she peered through the device and up at the sky. Her mouth parted ever so slightly in the smallest hint of awe and for a long moment the girl was content to merely observe the heavens above her despite her disappointment that there weren't iridescent swirling gases and vibrant colors. "It's beautiful." She spoke softly, finally pulling away from her new found friend's toy. "Do you....do you like looking at the stars?" Serafina inquired, her gaze glancing back up at them with a newfound appreciation. Maybe there were more to those little dots of light after all, maybe, she just needed to open her eyes. And yet, despite such admiration for the heavenly bodies, Serafina's mind habitually went to wonder what sort of rituals she could invoke in their names. After all, constellations were very powerful things indeed. "What sign are you?" She inquired abruptly, her intense gaze falling upon him, maybe...there was more to this encounter too.
