South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

Emotional outbursts, she learned, was something that she wasn't supposed to do. If she did such a thing others would get hurt. Even if she could have one making a scene in front of others on a private matter would not be the time and place. There was a reason why she was controlling herself and not shouting at the Fae King. For one it wasn't proper decorum to do so before royalty. The other, well, the last time she had an outburst someone got hurt. She was still a kid and didn't understand why she was treated different than the others. Of course she was allowed to be like the other children within the pack. She could go to school, eat and sleep, learn the responsibilities within the pack, but her teachings were limited. There was only so much she was allowed to do or participate in. She could not play with the other children or learn how to hunt with the pack, or do anything else that would cause her to be in her wolf form. It wasn't safe they said and she believed them. After all she couldn't remember what occurred half the time when she shifted. What she did remember were the lashes and the beatings, and the anger and fear that rose inside her. Having an emotional outburst might actually force the feral side of her to come out and the last thing she wanted to do was to harm others, especially when there was no member of her pack here to help keep her at bay.

She had put the vampire's display of unwanted affection out of her mind long ago. After that night of finding him within the meadow and explaining to him what happened he didn't seem troubled by her unfaithfulness. After all it wasn't her fault, but the girl had still felt guilty. She should have remembered and yet she didn't. She was 100% sure that she wasn't the one that initiated the vampire to approach her and touch her in such a way. Such things were reserved for her mate, and her mate alone. She and her mate put this past them and now she had to bring it back to the surface if only so that her friend would be aware of what his own companion was up to. It wasn't her place to tell him that he was being unfaithful, and yet it had to be said. She would be the one to be blamed if she hadn't said anything beforehand. As he rested his hand upon her own she couldn't help, but flinch, uncertain whether or not this was supposed to be a comforting gesture or not. Seeing the soft smile appear the worry she felt seemed to slowly ebb away. Quietly she listened as he explained that there was nothing to worry about, which truly seemed quite surprising. As he began to explain why his companion would do such a thing, she had to admit it did make a lot of sense. The question though was how she would get her mate to understand that it was a necessity to eat not necessarily out of the need to steal her from him. It was rather brave of Dorian to accept this from his companion, let alone voice it aloud, like a harbored secret that perhaps she wasn't supposed to know. So, Raven would return in kind, letting him know perhaps what they had tucked away.

"Is it difficult? To know that he hunts in this way? You are not the only one in a relationship with someone that has well, I guess an awkward situation. My mate accidentally got our Alpha's sister pregnant. They had twins and I'm not allowed to be near them. I go feral sometimes, where I am more wolf and no human thought is there, so for their safety I stay away, it was their Mother's demand."
