South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

She was hardly the first Were he'd knocked down, hardly the first to plead in that soft, desperate voice. It was remarkable really, how very human-like they could be when they tried, the lender little girl seeming so perfectly innocent in that moment, so much so that some part of himself- or what remains of that human empathy...seemed to make itself known, if only slightly, the barest twitch of emotion threatening to twinge within himself before he pushed it violently aside, hands gripping more firmly at the oaken bow, the draw weight heaved back with the ease of so many hours....so many years of practice. They were not human, Evelyn had taught him that, no matter what they did, no matter what they said....it was a trick, lies, the work of the Devil and nothing else. Were's couldn't feel, they had no empathy, no emotion, no really thoughts or feelings. After all, that is what makes a human....human, what separates man from beast and Were's seemed to walk that line, dancing so dangerously upon it. They were by far the vilest of the lot of them. Witch's at least looked normal. No being should have the power to command the elements and yet they were by far the most tolerable. Vampires....well- at least they were human once, at least some part of them was salvageable though that is hardly an excuse for life. Then again, it was vampires more then any other species that came grovelling to him when they finally got tired of simply living, finally begged him just to end this curse of existence. Weres....well. The majority of them seemed to have been born this way, barely human, nothing more then demonic animals that had learned to done the skin of a man, that possessed the ability to pass on their curse through a single bite. Perhaps for those unfortunate enough to be bitten he holds some modicum of sympathy. He's seen the change after all, watched those not born into that life suffer and writhe upon the ground, begging him to end a change even their own bodies reject. Maybe...he thinks....maybe he as some pity left for them alone.

This one however, he is sure, is nothing different, nothing special as Evelyn said. They'd beg, they'd plead, they'd doing anything to convince him to let them live only to wait for the chance to sink their teeth into them. He's lived far too long to be fooled by such pathetic attempts now, the girls murmured plea met with nothing but a callous snort of derision, ignoring the tendrils of gold hair that fall into the amber gold of his gaze, fingers stroking against the bow string as muscles tense, ready to fire and release the weight- when the damn little bitch begins to cry. It has been years.....years since he had made anyone cry, especially a girl. Female Were's often proved to be more vicious than their male counterparts who seemed to take the rather useless 'flight' over 'fight', Azrael so unfortunately designed to out-speed any other supernatural and make such plans so very moot. The crying however, perhaps earns a brief moment of hesitation, if only because it looks so very...real, those tears that seem to well in her eyes without actually falling. For a creature with no emotions she was doing a damn good job of pretending.

"Fine."

It is snapped out between clenched teeth, little more then a hiss as the arrow slams abruptly into the ground mere inches from the girl, quivering from the force behind it as the golden haired hunter moves to lean almost casually against the bow now. He was...irritated with her, annoyed, dislikes all the crying and as such is entirely content to toy with her just that little bit more. Arms folded easily across his toned form, eyeing the frightened little girl with what may very have been a mocking sort of sadism. It has been a long time indeed, since Az was ever...the nice guy.

"Please what? Go on, enlighten me, please what?"

He hardly doubted the girl was going to make some sudden attack, in fact, he doubted she was even a predatory Were yet it hardly mattered. He is bored, tired, hungry, his evening ruined by some little fool on an evening walk. Either she was entirely an idiot, new to the city or....newer perhaps, to this life. She looked, confused perhaps, if anything and yet he hardly saw any reason to ask her out for a cup of tea and a biscuit so she can pour out her sorrows to him. He gave up giving a shit about that years ago. Amber eyes flicked briefly to her one once more, one eye lifting in mock surprise.

"What? Cat got your tongue? Maybe a Dog? A Bird? Maybe you're a fucking giraffe, I hardly care. You have about ten seconds to give me one damn good reason why I shouldn't kill you- otherwise were going to play this fabulous game where you run and I use you for target practice."

He'd really much rather be home in time to watch the football game and this....thing is taking up more of his time then he truly thinks she's worth. Whatever....empathy he seems to have for her forced down and aside. It was easier that way, jeer at them, make them mad, to at least pretend he believes they have no real feelings or emotions. It's far easier to kill them that way.
