South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. What is all too surprising is the pale horse that emerges lacking that quietness of someone wishing to survive. Or perhaps it was simply arrogance that fuels the creature as the smell of a prey animal assaults her. They gave off a sweet smell much like a ripe juicy fruit and that scent alone reminded her that she could use a meal. It was enough to trigger that wolf instinct that beats feverishly within her. What a sweet scent it was.

Regardless what it was, prey or predator the sound was enough to make the she-wolf violently face whatever was within her path. This was her space, her time. She was simply letting loose, letting those instincts free like allowing a fleet of wild birds out of their cage. As a were, you spend so much of your life stifling it down, trying to tame that wildness within. What kind of life was that?? Being a muted black and white version of yourself rather than being that vibrant soul you were meant to be. It was not appealing in the very least. Within the quietude of the forest you could allow down those barriers and simply be free. Freedom, that fleeting and ever elusive entity that had finally entered her life. Of course, she took it for herself. She risked it all for that slice of that freedom that tasted better than anything that she had in a very long time. It was worth risking her life for, after all, her life was the only possession the woman had left. Mira sure as hell wasn't planning on squandering it, especially on being a fragment of a twisted machine, another soldier and slave to an army lead by a vile dictator. That self-proclaimed king of the wolves thought his shit didn't stink, he thought he could manipulate and control everyone within his possession. He truly needed to be knocked down a few pegs, but she wasn't eager to run into the arms of suicide. She just wanted to be free. Apparently it was a tall order.

She may have played compliant and was damn good at her job, whatever that might have been. Anything to avoid those negative repercussions of failure. But Negan did not earn her loyalty, he forced their hands and fed them fear to fuel and control. They were a force, from mere numbers alone and the man had a way to compel a crowd to give just enough to make them loyal. Just not her. A kingdom grown upon fear gave you compliance but it did not gain you respect. He sure as hell didn't have hers and yet it is the ones that bled defiance in their eye were the ones he wanted in his control even more.

What broke into the clearing was the stallion in the visions Raven had shown her, it was unmistakeable. Her lips curl into a snarl, her golden eyes narrow with that predatory stare as he spoke. She positioned her head lower as if prepared to lunge at him with those ominous teeth and her tail bowed skyward. He began with his speech, the very sound of him in her head was enough to drive her mad. Especially knowing what chaos this horse had instilled into the lives of the few were-creatures she had met. So much torment caused by a man in the form of a horse. The notion sounded pretty ridiculous of a terror inducing horse! This was the man enough to make powerful predators nervous and fearful? She peers at him, her very gaze unwavering from the horse dubbed Frost. That name singed its way within her very skull. But these stories also served as warnings, he was an alpha killer. A killer of a man who could teleport for crying out loud. She was a master of none, but damn she could put up a good fight. Yet the question of the hour was what did he want from her.

The midnight wolf hadn't the faintest of clues what he called her, some exotic term that simply did not receive at all. They didn't seem to be on a friendly questioning basis to ask what the hell that met. For all she knew he called her a daughter of a whore or something worse. There is coldness, a harsh tone in his voice. She didn't like it, not one bit.

"I know who you are." She spoke a matter-of-factly practically hissing those words that were uttered in irritation. She already knew she was not a fan. Especially knowing all that she did and that arrogance that bled off him in waves at this very moment, it only served to make her skin crawl. "Quit the act, trying to be all big, bad and scary. I know you, I know your type." She fought that urgency to attack him right at this very moment, there was something about his presence that set her on high alert, that chilled her to the bone. She didn't like that feeling, that uncertainty and that way he looked at her. He spoke like a man who had already won whatever game he was playing. She would find a way out of this, somehow.

"What is your business with me, snowman?" Surely she was of no import to him, why pick a fight? Why poke the wolf who was minding her own damn business. Did he like to stick his hand in beehives? There was a twinge deep down that bore within her, perhaps the first bite of fear, but she doesn't focus on that. She focuses on what might be the task at hand. She remains on her smooth peak, knowing the horse would have a hard time trying to reach her on this boulder with his hooves that lacked the traction of her paws. It was the perfect place to strike if she needed to.

"Surely you don't just pick fights with everyone you meet?" If this my little pony was going to mess with her, she would put up a damn good fight. Surely she had gone through enough and deserved her freedom, she wasn't going to be bested by him or anyone. Tooth and claw she would rather die free than beaten into submission. What the hell was up with people these days and their god damn god complexes?

But then that's when the cold assaulted her, no this wasn't fear. This was something else.

That icy sensation seemed to seep within her veins like it wormed through her. It was the strangest sensation and she had a hunch it was the horse causing such. Oh fuck.. This was not good. She slammed her paw down upon the rock in attempts to shatter the ice that was forming within her body, at least that's how it felt. It was slow moving too. Like a slow moving poison. She could attack him but what would stop him from intensifying the sensation. Fear, yes, that's it, fear unlike anything she tasted before suddenly overcame her. She had no intention of dying from the likes of him, she wouldn't simply just take it. No, she couldn't. Not after everything.

Her heart beat like something frantic as that internal cold overcame her. "What the hell are you doing to me?" Those golden eyes flash wild and anxious, her body coiled tight like a spring. A growl rips through her as she tries to fight this unpleasant sensation that washed over her.
