Fair weathered days meant nights that still chilled and streets that were void of people as they huddled inside their homes with their fireplaces. Summer had not yet taken a strong hold on Sacrosanct which would allow people to sleep with their windows open in desperation for any subtle breeze. Anna-Marie was finding this new city to be very entertaining indeed, crawling with supernaturals that held powers which anywhere else during her travels had proven a rare find. So had even found her dear Ceara's bar, though she hadn't announced her presence just yet. Ceara had settled herself in nicely and Anna-Marie saw no reason to interrupt right now. Anna's decision left her with a lot of time on her hands which was truly regrettable for the child vampire's victims. Eventually, perhaps, a hunter will catch up, following her trail of bodies, but until then her fun would continue.

Tonight was supposed to be a leisure walk through the park to indulge in the nostalgia of the playground. To Anna's horror, perched on the swings pulled toward one another was a teenage couple kissing, and not just a peck on the lips but playing tonsil hockey with the boy's hand feeling the girl up. How dare they commit such sacrilege, defile such a pure and innocent place with such...filth. Anna's mind had advanced through the years in many areas but like her body some of it was still frozen in time, understanding what adults sought from each other but unable to feel such emotion beyond a simple school girl crush. Her inability to process it completely, the two parts of her mind colliding and causing frustration, boiled over and like waves that crashed violently on a cliffside so did Anna on the unsuspecting couple.

There had hardly been any time for them to react, the boy yanked forcibly from the swing before her fangs sunk into the side of his neck. The girl had let out a surprised scream, frozen in shock with eyes wide at the sight of the child vampire feeding from her boyfriend. For now Anna's power kept the boy still, very much aware of his surroundings and the fact of his life being drained away. The girl finally found her wits about her and bolted from the swing. Anna quickly released the boy and twisted his neck with a sickening crunch before her fingers reached out, grabbing onto the girl's essence and stilling her in her tracks. "Don't you want to play?" Anna smirked crimson over her fangs, curling her hand in a come hither movement which dragged the girl back towards the swingset. She released her hold on the girl, plopping her next to the limp body of her boyfriend. The girl's screams started again causing Anna to noticeably flinch, the noise having always grated on her like nails on chalkboard, ripping a hiss from the child as she knocked the girls head hard against the pole of the swings effectively knocking her unconscious. Essentially Anna had decided to save the girl for a snack later on, tied her up to the pole, gagged her with a wad of cloth ripped from her boyfriend's shirt, and tied a strip around her mouth for good measure.

Anna took the previously occupied swing, using her toes to gently sway herself back and forth before leaning back, swinging her legs back and forth to carry herself higher. She always enjoyed the feeling of weightlessness at the peak right before gravity pulled her back down for the descent. Her long white and blue dress fluttered around and for a moment Anna missed the feeling of the cold bite of night air, a feeling so buried in her memory it was hard to remember what anything felt like. The girl she had taken hostage slowly came to, whimpering beneath her bonds as she watched Anna with teary fearful eyes. "Oh dear oh dear, look who's awake. Do you want to hear a song?" Anna had slowed her swinging to look at the girl curiously, as if waiting for an answer before simply starting to hum and sing softly.
