South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

She didn't realize how cold she was until the warmth of the stranger's hand brushes against her neck, checking for any signs of puncture wounds. And that's relief she notes in his voice, in his face as his hand dropped back to the ground, as if he couldn't hold it up any longer. Even his words are more heavily accented than they were a moment ago as he explains he's another thing. Swallowing the question, she wanted to ask, she knew it wasn't the time or the place to be having a conversation, though she is reassured that he isn't about to turn into a monster. Retrieving her bag quickly, she digs through it and produces a brightly colored band aid and she is about to cover those puncture wounds with it before his hand comes up and rests on hers.

Looking down, she frowns at him and is about to insist when he firmly tells her no. Well, fine then. Miya doesn't have time to argue with him even as that fear so threatens to engulf her mind as her eyes dart back to the lump several feet away from them. After she asks if he's able to walk, she lets out a breath as he begins to pull himself up, albeit slowly and a bit precariously as he rises to a standing position. Accepting his hand, she grabs onto it gently and stands next to him while he offers her his name, shifting her bag to the other shoulder, she slips underneath his arm, slinging it across her shoulders without permission.

"I don't think you're going to be able to walk on your own either," she says quietly, in answer to her action. That shadow blade she hadn't really noticed before appears out of smoke and shadow and Miya's eyes widen in surprise at the weapon he now holds in his hand. Instead she says nothing about it and gives a small nod as he explains it's for protection. She would ask questions later, right now, she wanted to put as much distance between that thing and her. At first, their gait is wobbly and she takes more of Alexander's weight to help him down the alleyway. "Nice to meet you, Alexander," she says a bit breathless, winded as they slowly make their way to her apartment.

She hoped that Arlo wasn't home, but at the same time she hoped he was. He was the only familiar thing she had here but it was night and he spent all day cooped up in the apartment, she very much doubted he would be home. As the small Asian woman thanks him, she notes the way he merely brushes it off. Frowning, she momentarily forgets her fear of the situation, "Still, I'm grateful for you saving me," she says sternly, insisting he accepts her gratitude. As he mentions it's his job, her eyes burn with so many questions she can't help but ask at least one, she needed a distraction from the exertion anyways, "You said... you said you were a different thing, what are you?" she asks.

Sweat beads her forehead as they make their way under the street lights finally, and to the world, they looked nothing more than a drunk couple stumbling along the sidewalk. Right now, Miya didn't care what other people thought. Shifting under his weight, it doesn't take long before they reach her apartment complex and she pauses just outside. She wasn't entirely looking forward to climbing all those flights of stairs, but she would make due and not complain. "Come on," she mutters as they make their way into the building and start the long and treacherous hike up the stairs.

Her shirt is slick with sweat by the time they reach her door.

Digging through her purse for her keys, she is careful to not let go of the man she clings to, afraid if she let go he would take a tumble down all those stairs they just climbed. With some maneuvering, she manages to fish the keys from her purse and unlock the door before pushing inside. Helping Alexander over to the older couch, she plops him down and finds a seat next to him, leaning her head back to catch her breath. After a few moments of silence, only filled with her ragged breathing, she untangles her scarf from her neck and throws it on the ground. She would take care of it later. Pushing to a standing position, she turns to look at the strange man, discarding her coat in a similar fashion, "What can I do to help you? I... I'm a doctor but I'm not familiar with these types of wounds," she winces, hating that she didn't know what she was doing.
