South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

He'd heard his share of creepy bedtime stories as a kid and he knew there were some strange things in this world. Sure, he believed in ghosts and creepy supernatural things happening with no reasonable explanation. But vampires, werewolves, fairies? Unless there was a secret experiment going on at the CDC or something, they didn't exist in his mindset. Sure, he'd indulge anyone who believed otherwise. He wasn't one to kill dreams just cause he wasn't convinced. But they were bedtime stories for a reason. Swinging on the swing was a different childhood phase altogether though and he would never back down from the challenge of swinging as high as he could and dismounting like a pro. He'd been practicing that dismount since he was 8, after all. He wasn't expecting to see anyone else out there at this time of night so he wasn't expecting an audience anyway in case he messed up and face planted. That had happened more than a few times, more so as he got older and less flexible.

The last thing he expected was for a child to be the one to come up. His gaze swept up to the curly blonde hair and magical blue eyes as she stepped forward to look at him. He hadn't seen her there before. Where the heck did she come from? His gaze swept over the park and the street behind her as if it held the answers. Where were her parents? He offered a warm smile automatically since it was instinctive to be as nice as possible to a child. But her first words were not at all what he expected. Her spot? He glanced around in the sand where he was and immediately stepped to the side. "Oh, I'm sorry. You want to stand here?" He offered even as he took another cursory glance around to look for the missing parents. It didn't compute in his mind that she wanted the swing behind him. He just figured it was some childhood game where instead of king of the hill, you just had to win over a certain part of the park, the part where he was standing, as it were.

He couldn't very well just leave her now that she had approached him so he crouched down to be more on eye level with her since that's the thing an adult with good intentions does when trying to earn a kid's trust, right? It's not like he was offering her candy or trying to get her to help him find his puppy. "Are you out here all alone? Where are your parents? Are you lost? I can take you home if you want." He kept glancing around, just in case. Didn't want any paranoid parents coming out of the bushes to hit him with purses and threaten to call the cops or something.
