South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

He was a curious fellow, this warlock, Arlo content to watch him as he wandered at last away from that street light and off to the side of himself- keeping some distance between them all the same and yet really Arlo hardly blamed him. Vampires did have a reputation and the majority of them probably wouldn't mind draining a lost warlock. An easy meal really. Maybe it was fortunate Arlo wasn't that sort of vampire. The man making an effort to at least apologise for his earlier, well, shouting. Still, he hadn't been willing to lose such a good web to some fellow blundering into it. At least the other man had seemed to calm down all the same, even offering his name in return, his words heavily accented. Was that....Irish? He'd never met a real Irish person before. How the hell had he ended up in this city. Arlo finding himself readily curious now and yet he kept that distance between them all the same lest he make Killian even more uncomfortable. After all, the fellow seemed friendly enough, harmless really. He could spare a few minutes for him right? Company never hurt. Well. It might hurt his hunting chances a little but the night was still young.

"Killian? I've never heard a name like that before. What are you like Irish? You sound Irish. I mean....I think you do, I've never actually been to...er.....Irish-land."

That's where Irish people came from right? Maybe Geography wasn't his strongest subject. Maybe he didn't really know where they came from at all. Somewhere near England or Scotland. He really should have paid more attention in school back in those human days and yet school had been so decidedly dull he could barely even remember attending it. Hmmm. He'd never have believed he'd almost miss those human days. Arlo hurriedly pushing those thoughts aside before he found himself in any sort of depressive state. His attention returned to Killian in full then as his arms folded across his chest, the vampire leaning back against that nearest tree in some further effort to look less threatening. The other man confirming what Arlo had managed to deduce from the scent of his blood- that he truly was a Warlock- just like his parents before. Huh. He'd never really met a Warlock before either, at least, not one he'd managed to have a conversation with. That sudden query on his trap and just why he was hunting in the park prompting that curious look from him before his own shoulders lifted into a shrug. Arlo hardly seeming to notice that continued mention of the mans mother- odd though it surely was. Arlo perhaps uninclined to judge others for that sort of thing when he himself was equally prone to rambling.

"Well your Mum was probably right I mean, this parks ok in the day, but it's usually full of vampires, Were's or Hunters at night. I usually check for the Hunters first though, I didn't see any about tonight so we should be good. As for the creepy part of it that's...kinda the point. I'm not exactly a normal sort of vampire...."

He allowed his words to trail slightly, one hand lifting to rub at the back of his neck in some debate about just how much information he was going to give a stranger he'd just met. Then again, it wasn't as if his presence here was exactly a secret. The local coven already knew he existed so it was hardly as if Killian could sell him out.

"I'm a Crusnik, bud."

That Killian was hardly going to understand what that was had hardly occurred to the vampire, at least, not until the other man seemed to look a little blank.

"I'm a vampire that feeds on other vampires. I drain other vampires and steal their meals- that's how I live which really doesn't make me all that popular a guy around here. That's why I'm hunting here though. Vampires like this park, they like dark and creepy places. They hunt their victims and I hunt them. I'm kinda the only Crusnik in town."

He paused once more, eyeing Killian then, searching for some sort of reaction from the other man. Arlo entirely used to people's confusion or outright disdain for him. Especially when it came to other vampires. Hypocrites that they were. They had no problem biting their victims but were hardly willing to get bitten in return. That sudden question as to the popularity of the park was met with another nod.

"Yeah, especially around Christmas- lots of people walking home late. You should watch yourself eh? Go around the park next time. You don't gotta worry about saying the wrong thing to me, bud. Believe me, there isn't a question you can ask that I won't have heard before. Hell, I spend my life asking people the wrong questions. I really think- what you looking at?"

His words halted mid-sentence, Arlo peering into the darkness that Killian seemed to stare into. Could he see something? Had Arlo failed to notice someone? The vampires senses extending once more. He couldn't smell anyone and yet he watched that darkness almost warily a moment all the same. Other vampires had a habit of being sneaky when they wanted to be. Arlo turning his attention back to Killian then all the same.

"You can help me out if you want? I'll even walk you through the park afterwards so no one jumps you. How's that sound?"

After all, Killian had something rather valuable in his veins that Arlo himself was rather lacking. A little blood might bring those vampires he was hunting out of the darkness and make catching his own meal all the easier although really he hardly expected Killian to agree to it. Still, it was worth a try right? Arlo glancing towards him almost expectantly then. That rather sudden, unexpected question falling from his lips.

"Hey, Killian. You got a girlfriend?"
