South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Miya's head was spinning by the time Malia finished explaining. Though, the woman was beginning to relax a bit more, yet there was still a bit of hesitancy in her, unsure just what to think in this new situation she had found herself in. Releasing her grip on her bag, she merely nods at the woman before slipping an arm through Malia's tugging her down the street, silence engulfing them until they reach the diner. Pushing through the door, they seat themselves at an isolated booth against the window, the weak sunlight streaming through and landing across the two women. Removing her messenger bag, she slips her jacket off shortly after and slides it against the wall. Questions roll through her mind as she regards her friend with a new curiosity.

"It's hard to wrap my mind around," Miya admits finally, folding her arms on the table as she looks at the brunette, that fear long gone, though there is a bit a wariness that remains. "I found out recently my roommate is a vampire and... I don't really know how to take all of this in," Miya states, a touch of vulnerability entering her lyrics. Rubbing at her arms, she can't help but allow her memories to be transported back to that alleyway when she had been attacked. She had been lucky enough someone was in the vicinity, that he had managed to save her and in turn, she had taken care of him as that venom worked through his body. "I'm trying to look at it not with fear... but with optimism?" She trails off in a question, not entirely sure what she was saying in that moment. "I feel like if I get a better understanding, if I ask questions, that maybe I won't be so in the dark," Miya announces again just as the waitress comes over asking what they want.

"I'll just have coffee, thank you," Miya says quietly to the waitress, gesturing to Malia to order whatever she wanted briefly wondering if the girl had gotten any better at ordering food within an establishment. "If you need help, let me know," she mentions to Malia, smiling at her faintly across the table, worried she might have put either Malia or the waitress in an uncomfortable situation. Her memories are drawn back to that first meeting when Miya took the girl to a sandwich shop only to have her trying to order... well, meat. It was mortifying, though it made sense now that the Asian woman knew that she was a shifter. After they finish ordering, Miya patiently waits for the waitress to leave before she turns her attention back to Malia, her brows drawn down in a frown as she recalls her recent question. The woman hardly pushed it when they were in the street, but now, she's curious, perhaps it was a bit of morbid curiosity but Miya couldn't help it.

"You said it hurts... why would you keep doing it if it hurt so bad the first time?" She asks quietly, aware that they were now surrounded by other folk, as she's careful to keep her voice down. "I mean, why wouldn't you just stay in one form?" Miya questions again, pausing only briefly as the waitress returns with her coffee, her hands instinctively wrapping around the mug. Nodding her thanks, chocolate eyes return to the girl sitting across from her as she desperately tried to understand.
