South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. The University welcomes the talent of students across the world to enroll and unlock their unlimited potential. With applications from across the nation, classes fill up quickly.

South
all that is gold does not glitter
not all who wander are lost

Brennan would certainly do his own digging, especially in matters that included Sera. The very moment he found out the hunter's name it was a given. It wasn't all that difficult to do either, even though the truth of the matter was he should have spent that actually searching for ways to solve his little demon problem. Somehow the idea of Serafina with another man had left him more unsettled than the actual dilemma he had found himself within. Why couldn't he simply be ok with it? Why couldn't he just let her be happy with this new beau? He hardly lets the conflict show as he drops that not so subtle information that he had garnered of her new little boy toy.

He was so painfully aware how petty he sounded! How jealous those words sounded when they left his mouth and how little he cared that they did.

Her words surprised him and yet he deflects, the best way he could to avoid those nagging feelings. He didn't want to let those words sink in. Didn't want to allow himself to think he still had a chance with his once raven-haired witch. He was beginning to think that ship had left the harbor without him and it even still that ship had disappeared into that horizon wherever happily ever afters go and he still couldn't let it go. It all felt too irritating and raw. "You know where I live." The Irish warlock stated simply as though that answered everything. That Serafina could have found him if she truly wanted to. But then Serafina was a woman who did not like to come to anyone. He couldn't blame her, he had an uncanny ability to make things difficult.

The conversation seemed to shift so quickly as they did so well to avoid the real dilemma staring them in the face. They were masters of avoidance after all. That was when he questioned why she was even here, perhaps that very reasoning was the worry for her safety and for the simple fact that her presence drove him insane. His mess had already taken away too much, the last thing he wanted was Serafina getting wrapped up in the aftermath that her mentor had forced upon him. At least she was finally free of him, kind of.

There was so much left unspoken between Serafina and him, so much unfinished business and did it really matter now? Did she really need to know what she had been robbed of? He had a feeling that mentor would have been all too pleased with that knowledge that it still hurt him, that it could potentially still hurt Sera.

However, the wrinkling of her small nose all together threw him off. She even waved her hands about as if trying to rid the air of that vile stench. That stench that supposedly clung to him. Dear god, of course, she had to find him when he was smelling like sulfur. He brought his arm to his nose and inhaled deeply without smelling a hint of anything. He remembered that smell of the vile demonic creature that had attacked him and told her a brief version of that tale. He hoped he didn't smell that bad, he could hardly help the frown that found its way upon his features.

His shoulders rose and fell in a shrug before he admitted, finally, why he was out here and how he had to close that portal. The portal that was supposed to only be made for him to walk through. Not him and any other creature that crossed paths with it. As long as he could help it, he had absolutely no intentions to make a deal with another demon, so long as he lived. He must have been so pleased by that loophole, using Brennan's desperation and being so close to death to not pay careful mind to those added stipulations. There was a deal to open a portal into this world, but there was no promise to close it or whom could cross it.

Brennan was good at making things appear, literally anything the man he could think of. But when it came to magic, well that was whole other beast entirely. He had no damn clue how to close a portal to the very bowels of hell itself. What he hadn't expected was just how that icy fire met her eyes and how that anger seemed to bubble to the surface. Her beautiful lips agape as though she couldn't believe he could let something like this happen, her gaze didn't dare waver before the yelling began. She then brought those slender fingers to her temples declaring a frustrated sound, cursing his name. If a demonic creature was lurking in the forest they would hear her now.

Didn't she know how sexy she was when she was pissed? It was cruel. But still, Brennan was hardly affected by it. "What? I thought it was going to close on its own after I went through it. Demons aren't very clear with their promises." Her offered lamely. He didn't reveal that he hadn't the faintest clue on how to close it. If the warlock knew how to make portals he was quite certain he would have found his way out of that mess far sooner than upon death's door.

She then muttered something about wanting to throw him in a lake, and how his mind wandered. Of course, he would voice his own stipulation that she joined him in that water she so badly wanted to toss him into. Their eyes locked for what felt like an eternity and his blue and silvery gaze never faltered with that unflappable exuding confidence. He knew all too well those weaknesses of the flesh and how to play with them with an expert precision. Brennan wanted her to remember all those times they shared, wanted to bring them to the surface and torture her with them. If they could not be together again, he could very well still torment her. No? But he hardly wanted to be disturbed by anything demonic when he stole that very moment. He needed to close that portal first, so he could at least be afforded a peace of mind.

He didn't bother to explain that he had already soaked and scrubbed for hours the night before within the ocean. He wasn't sure how much better a lake would do, but he wasn't foolish enough to turn down that very window she offered him. Her mind may have been utterly unaffected by his teasing flirtations but his was perpetually in that gutter. She seemed to agree and include herself with these plans to close that pesky live portal. He smirked to himself at her final words. "I should have you remember that you once enjoyed the havoc I wreak." There goes that devilish innuendo once more dangling from his lips like carefully placed bait before he trudged forward toward that portal. It wasn't that far, he could feel it whispering potent magic. This may have been unanticipated but part of him was terribly relieved to have Serafina at his side. She was a far better witch than he was a warlock, maybe between the two of them, there was a hope of kicking this thing in the ass. Honestly, it wasn't like he had a better idea. He was going to do what he normally did and just wing it. At least now, he might have had a chance.

Maybe.

"Hey Sera?" He asked suddenly, tipping his head to catch a glimpse to make sure she was coming. That very question seemed to hold something potent, reveal those sensations that there was so much left unsaid, as though he was going to actually have a serious and meaningful moment with her. Hell, there was so much she still didn't know. Maybe he had to know. Maybe she didn't. He hardly wanted to be a wrecking ball to her life, even though his inherent selfishness wanted to ignore all that. And yet, in true Brennan fashion, he would find a way to ruin even the most pivotal moments.
