South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

If truth be told, she was getting rather good at this. A generous handful of times now the delicate young redhead had managed to squirrel away from the proverbial grasp of the maker who loathed her and the ferocious posse of devotees who would sooner bind her with silver than spare her a glance if they believed it might bring them the poison-laced treat that was Risque's approbation. Despite the ever-evolving merit of the stealth that would purchase her autonomy, if only temporarily, Isolt could spare no time to dwell on such frivolity. With each grand escape, no matter how simplistic given the newest of her affinities, came the inherent danger of her boldness that served to cast domineering gloom upon even this brief, would-be reprieve. More than once had her absence been noted, and upon her return had she paid dearly for even this small and momentary freedom.

And yet the force that drove her onwards proved far greater than the lingering promise of what would surely await her when she returned in the early morning hours. Hunger curled its tantalizing finger out to the wayward vampire as malnourishment pulled and twisted at her hollow innards; Risque's determination to see her progeny starved having finally eclipsed the fear of punishment that had crippled her. Thus she found herself amidst the gnarled foliage and darkly shaded nooks of the partially dilapidated park, her trajectory marked by determination... knowing that she would soon come upon the vaguely clichéd bar in which Damon had indulged her with that very first taste of human blood. It had transformed into a sort of personal Mecca for the young vampire, her unwillingness to feed from any human host having dictated that this particular avenue was to be her beacon in the treacherous dark that was starvation.

The fragrance whispered to her senses by the passing evening zephyr was subtle, and yet for a moment it stayed all movement, halting the demure redhead in her tracks and tempting her mind asunder from the promise of much-needed nourishment. Raven. Isolt had more than once considered escaping in the hope of visiting the Were who had, in what had perhaps been her greatest hour of need, shown her kindness without judgment... Who had given of her time and of her home in order to aide a creature that others might have looked upon with vengeful terror. Were it not for the torturous pull of her maker's dominion over her, Isolt might have still resided in semi-peace within the warm and pleasantly cozy confines of Raven's home. The thought was a sorrowful one, a pipe dream of what could have been, a teasing echo and a reminder of what little shard of happiness that had been wretched from her like the rest.

A smile, saddened and yet not entirely without some modicum of joy, plucked coyly at Isolt's lips as she rounded the corner that brought the idle form of Raven into view. Even with the familiar woman's back shown to her, Isolt could sense that all was not well with the Were. A series of tentative paces brings her closer, to what she cannot be certain...
