South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Maybe this princess could save herself.

That sounds like a pretty good story too.

Samantha had yet to admit to herself why she had really returned to Sacrosanct. Sure, she could lie to herself and state as long as she wanted to that it had been for a variety of reasons. Such as, to visit her ex, Aiden Tetradore, whom she'd promised to keep in touch with after the last time she'd vanished from Sacrosanct. Or she could say that it was to visit Dorian. Or Nadya. Or any of the other people that she'd left behind in this city and had given promises to stay in touch with - promises she had meant. Or perhaps she could say that she was coming back to Sacrosanct because she missed the buzz of the city and the supernatural life that existed within its boundaries. And maybe, just maybe, deep down she had convinced herself that that was why she was back in the city. Samantha had convinced herself it had nothing to do with that night in Northern California, nor the handsome fae she'd reunited with there.

When she'd last been in Sacrosanct, the man she'd met in the bookstore had been host to a wonderful evening. He'd been like a dark prince out of one of the novels she'd been perusing upon the shelves when he'd run into her. And though they'd only spent the day together until the sun had dipped low in the sky and they'd parted - Samantha had found thoughts of him hard to shake. But then that wanderlust of hers had given way to restlessness and she'd left to travel again - she was far too immortal to stay in one place for long - and she'd given up hopes of running into him again. But then there had been that night in California - she'd long forgotten the name of the town - when she'd seen him. And that time, she hadn't wasted any time in her advances on him. Even if it had only been a fleeting moment in time, a single night together, she had not wanted to let that slip away. But still, they were both immortal, and she'd been more than happy to exchange phone numbers at the very least with vague promises they'd see each other again.

But then - Samantha still wasn't thinking entirely about the circumstances that had led her back to Sacrosanct and had made her dial Kit's number. She hadn't told him on the phone - she hadn't even said the words out loud to herself yet. She'd only said that she needed to see him, and it was that that had led her to arrange the meeting at a coffee shop. She was early now, settling into the chair with only a bottle of water in front of her. She supposed... she shouldn't drink caffeine, right? She shouldn't... she didn't know what she shouldn't do. Truly, she hadn't even known that her... condition... was possible. But regardless of if it was true or not, Samantha couldn't do this alone, that was for sure. So all she could do now was sit and quietly wait for him to arrive. And hope he didn't bolt immediately when she began to speak.
