South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. With Each Step I Take...

I was driving fast, faster then what would be considered safe; constantly on and off the gas. 'Who the hell did my parents think they were, what the hell did they know. They have absolutely no idea who I am and what I'm going though.' That was what was going through my mind as drove in my dumpy car as far away from them as possible. Every day I saw things that they thought were just for Halloween mask; that they thought were just for fun and games. I'm snapped out of my reverie when a deer jump onto the road in front of me; I swerve missing the buck by inches only to fly off the road, everything goes dark.

I groaned lifting my head from the steering wheel, and muttered a string curses under my breath; and they weren't the magic kind. I rubbed my head sitting up, only to see I was bleeding not only from my head, but also a long cut on my left leg. Regaining a small amount of awareness of surrounding by looking around my car was off the road, stuck between a tree and a hill that my car would have rolled down. I very carefully open the driver door then looked around inside the car, finding my backpack on the passenger side floor. The car creaked as I leaned over to grab my bag, successfully making me cringe. Then quickly I got out of the car and out of the way it would fall in case it did, nothing happened at least for a few seconds then the airbags deployed. "So useful, airbags save lives every; yeah right, my ass they do, just more lies. With my luck with cars maybe I should just stay away from them." Was all I could say as I seethed. I calmed down realizing I had just been angry at a car, I take a few deep breaths. 'Which way to go now?' I questioned. Before enhancing my hearing and sense of smell. I could hear a city through the forest, not an easy walk; but down the way I just came I could smell my family's butler in his car coming after me. "Well like hell I'm going back, to city it is then." I said pulling my two silver pocket knives out of my pack, putting in my left boot and holstering the other under my sleeve on my right arm, and then swung my backpack onto my back. I turn to my car patting its dented hood, "Well old friend, it seems this is where we go our separate ways; now, now, I know it's hard but I just want to say; it's not me..... It's you. Good talk, Later."

I limped favoring my injured leg as I trudged through this forest, leaning heavily on trees when I had the chance. I was almost there my hearing and smell told me, but only after hours of wandering these woods. I get to the next tree sliding down until I'm sitting, leaning back against it. I tilt my head up looking at the branches before growling through clenched teeth, "Come on, and heal up already. The one perk to this blasted curse isn't working fast enough." Then loud ring fills the surrounding forest, I grab my phone from my pack to look at caller ID; of course its mother. I set it down letting its ring bounce off the trees, before falling silent remnants of its noise still bouncing around. A few moments silence refills the air, before once again that infernal device started making noise again. I look at the screen only to see it's mom calling again, impatient I grab the phone and throw it at the nearest tree while yelling, "Shut up will you." When it hit the trees it fell silent almost immediately. I groan knowing I'll have to probably get a new one and attempt to stand before the pain comes shooting back, "Ah, ok I'll sit here a few more minutes." I enhanced my hearing not wanting any surprises from anyone or thing that may lurk in these woods, burrowing deeper into my oversized black hoodie thankful I was at least wearing warm clothes.
