South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Tonight I am restless and I don't know why. My eyes keep going up toward the red moon and I wonder if it's part of the reason but that's crazy right? I've never seen a red moon before but somehow I seem drawn to it and I'm feeling more feral than usual. I've lashed out at four coyotes in the pack today and it was always over something petty. The one I deem Maria got too close to the hamburger meat I got from the trash and Diego bumped into me while playing with his buddies. Tierno walked too close in front of me while we were tracking our next kill and Hunter laughed too obnoxiously at Zera's joke. All petty things but for some reason today, I'm on edge and they got under my skin. Finally I decided that getting away from the pack is probably in my best interest for tonight and though I know Caeser tends to follow me on my lonely errands, I'm hoping to lose him tonight.

And so I run like the wind through the woods, dodging trees and barking in the trees to create an echo and throw him off my trail. I pick a stream and start running through it, masking my scent and after some time, I can hear his frustrated howls behind me. I can't help but grin in triumph as I turn a corner and take off in a new direction, only to pull up short when I see nothing more than a wolf ahead of me. I put on the brakes and flatten my ears, lowering my head as I peer at the back of the wolf. I can tell she's not the same one that approached me on the streets but why is she alone? Where is her pack? I don't trust a wolf alone. Of course I don't trust wolves, period. They're bullies who like to pick on my kind because they're bigger. I start to back away, wondering if I can go around her and avoid the confrontation all together but then my back paw steps on a twig and a huge crunch sound fills the air.

Cringing inwardly at my foolishness, I bring my tail up and my blue eyes glower, daring her to try to bully me. My pack has been in these woods for a while now and I consider it my territory of sorts so if anything, she's the one who should leave. But if her pack gets involved, I might have to admit defeat because I can't take on a whole wolf pack. Her scent throws me off. Is that a faint whiff of the panther from that big boat? Does she knows him? Now I'm really on edge. My ears flicker back and forth, uncertain and cautious but fear is not in my vocabulary.
