South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

when truth sounds crazier then lies

For a long while, Sterling had been entirely content to simply listen in silence to the sound of the city that spiraled around him and the muted rush of water somewhere behind him. He had contemplated in extreme detail what he intended to say to the man who currently occupied his shower. Although he had truthfully wanted Henry to stay here, in a place where he could at least guarantee his safety, he still knew that at the end of the day - they were nothing more then strangers. It was a difficult thing to remember, for some reason or another. A soft sigh left the man's lips, his gaze shifting further down the street in the direction of the nearest motel, knowing all too well the sort of life that Henry would find there. Still, he looked as if he was someone who could handle himself - right? Minus perhaps that look of panic that seemed increasingly common across the man's features. In truth, it was the memory of such that made Sterling the most worried. He would blame himself if he let Henry out of his apartment only for the man to wind up dead the following morning.

His thoughts had begun to drift into places that were largely dark and macabre for the man though he was willing to dwell in them for the entirety of the time that Henry had managed to gather his own thoughts. For a while, he was oblivious of the man's presence, his senses slowly returning to him as he caught a glimpse of the fellow though his periphery vision. He glanced over towards him momentarily, a soft sigh leaving his lips before his gaze flittered away. For a while, Sterling let the silence persist just until he was certain of what it was he was going to say, even though he had no notion of what the outcome would be.

"So...uh..." Sterling paused, his hand reaching up to run through his hair before he gestured down the street away from them. "The nearest motel is three blocks that way. You could probably exchange a night's stay for some blood if you want to....just...be careful okay? Vampires can have difficulty maintaining control when it comes to stopping and I don't want to hear you wound up dead tomorrow. And be careful of any wild animals you see now that night's fallen. They're all over the west side for some reason." Sterling paused again, his gaze slowly shifting downwards towards his own hands. "I know...it sounds crazy but...I just figured I'd forewarn you before you left and found yourself dealing with that kind of shock. I know...what it's like to be where you are and, well, I wasn't prepared for it - for them." It was perhaps far more of the truth then Sterling had ever admitted to anyone since coming to this city, not that he had really connected with anyone prior to now anyways. He wanted to make sure Henry was okay and if all the man would allow him to provide was a word of warning and a bit of sage advice, then Sterling would just have to work within those limitations.
