South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

South
She's a natural in disaster
The silence after and before
We're the ones she's chasing after
She's coming back for more

On the outside she seemed in complete control of herself, but the reality was she was internally screaming. The feelings she didn't even know existed anymore had hit her like a ton of bricks, and it was the first true thing she had felt in years. It was strange to think that someone could not feel anything, some would even say impossible, but that wasn't the case at all. Tamzin had learned to turn off any emotions she could feel as a human, because they were no good to her as a Dark Hunter. Especially when she would think about everything she had lost in her twenty-eight years of life, like Sera.

Tamzin kept trying to tell herself that kissing Sera was a drunken mistake, but at the same time she felt something inside herself falling apart. If heartbreak was an actual thing, she was feeling it, but she would never show it. Her tongue brushed her lips, the taste Sera left behind was comforting in a way but it also destroyed her. She fought it though like she did any other pesky emotion that tried to rear its head. Besides, it would all disappear in the morning as she nursed her hangover, or at least she hoped it would.

"Sera, what're you doing?"

Her tone was sharp as her hair was pulled from the bun, and she felt her blonde hair fall about her shoulders in gentle waves. A sigh passed as she ran her fingers through and tried to tame her hair, but she knew it would be pointless. Instead she massaged her head for a second, eyes fluttering closed as she momentarily forgot where she was. It had been a long time since she had let her hair free, but that was because in her line of work not having hair pulled back could be dangerous. A few seconds later her eyes fluttered open at Sera's words and a small smile touched her lips.

"That must be it, the hair."

She agreed half-heartedly, her head shaking the slightest bit as she motioned for one more shot. It was quickly poured and she tossed it back before anything else could be said. It was that last shot that did her in, because the second the liquid burned down her throat she felt herself get a little light-headed. Hands lifted to rub small circles into her temples, icy eyes fluttering closed as she tried to get herself together. Her childhood friend spoke again and she nodded in agreement before her hands fell away from her head.

"I could use the fresh air."

Slowly she started weaving through the crowd; her steps slightly swayed which caused her to bump into people as she went. Mumbled apologies were given before she continued on her mission to reach the cool air outside of the bar. She didn't even wait to see if Sera would follow her, she just assumed the younger woman would be close behind.

The alcohol had definitely taken its toll, because Tamzin wasn't paying any attention to the few people who gave her curious looks before following her out. After what felt like hours she finally burst from the warmth of the bar into the cold that bit into her skin. She pressed a hand to hear head again as she leaned against the wall, her balance was off and her guard was completely down. She closed her eyes once again and drew in a few deep breaths as she felt the urge to vomit rise up inside of her.

"Oh fuck..."

She whispered as she drew in a slower breath before releasing it. As she tried to fight off the dizziness a group of four people had gathered around her, forming a half circle to keep her against the wall. She sensed their presence and her eyes fluttered open before going wide at the sight that greeted her. 'Fuck is right, Hunter.' The male directly in front of her spoke, his eyes seeming to glow as he flashed her a smile, his fangs quickly visible. Tamzin pushed herself away from the wall the slightest bit and tried her hardest to stand without swaying. 'This is going to be easy.' He spoke again and stepped closer, and Tamzin instantly cursed herself. All she could do was fake confidence that she wasn't at all feeling.

"You sure 'bout that?"

Tamzin's words were slurred and she swayed again, one hand shooting out to rest against the wall to hold her up. She was pissed at herself; she knew that it would be dangerous to let her guard down. Looks like Sera was a blessing as well as a curse, because truth of the matter was that Tamzin couldn't fight to save anyone right now. She especially wouldn't be able to fight to save herself, but she sure as hell wouldn't go down without a fight.
