South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Kato Buhari

Kato hardly expected anything less from Edie that morning. If she hadn't whined, grumbled, or called him names then he would have actually been concerned for her. He could tell her ego had certainly taken a punch from the run-in at the Ark. Today she seemed to be back to her perfectly sassy self. Kato would ride the waves of her empty threats and whines like an expert. Until it was time to be serious. He had no qualms in knocking Edie down...repeatedly...to teach her that his comment about her not being centered enough was true. He did notice however how his words seemed to make her recoil from him. Curious. Kato leaned back on his heels before standing and offering her his hand to help her back to her feet.

Edie's protest against being protected wasn't new but the venom in her tone certainly was. "Then you need to learn and not go chasing after trouble." His stance away from her offered him some distance to take in her particularly defiant nature. Kato watched as Edie's stubborn nature finally caught up with the situation and attempted to place herself as he had instructed. His lips quirked slightly at her remark. "As you wish." Once more he stepped up to her, using his foot to nudge hers into position and gently place his hands on his shoulders to press her down so that her knees bent ever so slightly. "Hands up." Kato reached over and tapped her hands which curled into fists automatically as people tended to do, "keep them open, like this." He held up his hands in demonstration a few inches from his face open palmed. "Knowing you if you punch someone with a closed fist you'll end up hurting yourself more than the other person." He smirked slightly before slowly circling her, nudging her shoulder as he went though lighter than he had before. "You need to be stable enough that if I nudge you from any direction you won't move from your spot."

Kato stopped his circle back in front of Edie, eyeing her form and deeming it passable. "Hunter's always have weapons so your goal should be to disarm them. You can do that with an elbow strike to their shoulder or chest, it jars them so you can take the weapon or they'll drop it." Kato reached forward and took Edie's elbow, lifting it and manipulating so she pointed at him before taking her hips in his hand and twisting her pelvis into position too. "Twist here and follow through." He gripped her hips firmly, twisting them back and forth to emphasize his point. "Go ahead and try." Kato positioned himself and tapped the outside of his triceps to indicate Edie to try the strike. He was much sturdier than she perhaps thought and would stand graciously for her practice swing. "Easy does it, Little Dove...I may have to call you Little Fists instead." He chuckled after her swing.

"Some Hunter's don't know how to fight hand-to-hand; they rely on their weapons so much...but some do. You have to remember that this fighting...it's just to give you an upper hand, just to give you time to get away. This is not for you to go running headlong after a Hunter to try and kill one, ok?" It was a legitimate worry that once Edie felt she learned these things that she would run after Hunters. Kato reached out and took hold of her hand that was closest to her face, manipulating it to twist her palm to face him and place it on his chest over his sternum. "When you strike, hit with the force in the heel of her hand. If you hit hard enough right here, you can cause a heart contusion or rupture their aorta." Slowly he released her hand from its place. Obviously he didn't mean for her to practice a full blown strike on him but he would wait for her to at least try a little one.
