West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

The idea that he should smile more was almost amusing to the man. Almost. The notion one he had hardly ever been afforded, after all, very few people had ever dared to tell him to smile let alone smile more, the man hardly prone to such frivolous shows of emotion at the best of times. Her assurance that it made him appear almost as if he had a heart resulting in a vague roll of his eyes as he moved to fasten that necklace about her throat with a gentleness that betrayed his often less then caring actions. Her reference to his being heartless was perhaps more on par with what he was used to being called, the stallion having lost count of the beings over the years whom had referred to him as just that, Frost long since having given up caring. It was easier, after all, to simply not care. Caring was a weakness and little more then that. Something to be exploited in the end. The man so callously having discarded the vast majority of beings within his life whom had dared to attempt to fit into that category. Whatever comment he might have added is ended by his companions desire to goad him further in response to that commanding tone, Frost hardly having corrected her and yet there was a reminder in those words all the same, the stallion inclined to allow her liberties he allowed no others and yet how tolerable he was of such a tone remained to be seen, one eye lifting ever so slightly as he stepped back from her form.

"We shall see."

It is all he offers for now, his words easy all the same before Edie hurried to find the camera on her phone and test the abilities of his illusions upon them- the thought a decidedly good one and one he could hardly fault the woman for. Edie prone to a sharp intelligence when the mood should strike her, Frost finding himself oddly satisfied with the woman this evening before making their way downstairs- the limits to his magic somewhat more understood then before and yet of that logistic the man found himself unconcerned. His main focus instead upon just how much they could win in a short space of time without beginning to attract the attention of the casino security. Frost hardly doubting the presence of Hunters somewhere within the establishment, a decent escape plan somewhat formulated within his thoughts and yet the man remained confident of his skill in this all the same as he led the way onto that casino floor and one of the tables with the cheaper buy-in's directing Edie with ease once she had regained her balance atop those heels, Frost moving to linger slightly away from the table- acting entirely as if his interest was elsewhere- Edie's thoughts pressed upon his mind.

Yes. I can hear you clearly.

This perhaps, would be more a test of his own skill then he had so ever attempted before, the snowy-haired man allowing his violet gaze to press upon each man present at that table, his mind becoming familiar with their own in turn, picking apart at their thoughts, none of them at all suspect of the woman now seated at their table. Only one man, truly, had noticed his own presence at all and yet those casual glances Edie so afforded him had seemingly assured the man of all he needed to know in that regard. Edie decidedly off limits to him by that gesture alone. The others however, held an interest in far more then his Beta's hand. How curious Edie would surely have found it to note her gambling companions were taken with her appearance, Frost almost considering voicing such a thing before that initial buy in was placed upon the table and his own affinity extended more readily. If she a game could be won without any manipulation on his part- the better. Such skills were better reserved for the later games, his focus now primarily on discovering the hands of Edie's gambling companions, the woman's own hand decent and yet the man to her left's was better.

The man to your right has a terrible hand, he's impulsive though, he's going to try and bluff the others out- the man to your left has a better hand then you but he's cautious too, this early in the game you can probably convince him to fold. Rise your bet for a few rounds, we will see how that goes, I think we can make him fold, don't worry about the others though, none of them have better hands then you.

It was...more difficult than he had anticipated to jump readily from mind to mind, Frost assuring his words were spoken to Edie's alone, his features frowning slightly with the strain of the effort and yet the longer he lingered upon each mind the clearer the thoughts became. His gaze returned to his companion then, waiting for the woman to raise her bet else follow his instructions, a third round of betting seeing the only man with the better hand then his Beta fold, leaving Edie well placed to win but several rounds later. Frost allowing a simper of sorts to touch his features, the man stepping towards her the moment she had won to so play the role of the doting boyfriend still and press his lips to her cheek in an affectionate gesture of congratulations- helping the girl collect her winnings, several hundred dollars, before directing her to the next table to play the same game again. This round more challenging and worth more all the same. It is only their fifth game that so draws any more negative attention, this round resulting in another female player, one seated directly opposite Edie- her gaze continuing to fall on Frost himself.

Edie, the woman suspects something, distract her if you can, I need her to focus less on what I'm doing

They were nearly fifty thousand up now, Frost hardly content to lose any of it because a woman was suspicious of him.
