West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Black Market

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
Birthdays were extra special days, I was sure! We celebrated my birthday every year - and mother's and papa's too of course. We'd make yummy food and get a birthday gift and had a cake. CAKE! We had to get Alexis a cake! I bet she never had a cake for her birthday before though, that's okay, I wanted to be the first person to celebrate her birthday with her. It would make it an extra extra special day! I was a bit over eager to get my newfound friend a gift, but I certainly didn't expect the words that left her lips. I figured she might want a book or something - not an orange! Still, oranges were good, I liked oranges. I mean, that'd be an awesome gift for me but, I was also a Red Panda. It was like...in my BLOOD or something. Ha. Oranges in my blood. Blood Oranges! My head tilted to the side as I considered this notion of receiving an orange on your birthday. I'd never heard of it before but, I hadn't been outside Nepal like....ever. Maybe that's why I never had particularly good luck. Hm. Regardless, I nodded quite eagerly. "Okay! We'll get you an orange and um...a cake! And then we can go to to the bookstore and get you a new book too! How does that sound?!" It sounds like a great kind of birthday to me, but it was her special day, not mine!

It was that mention of books, however, and Alexis' friend that was particularly interesting to me. I think it's very sweet Raven taught Alexis how to read. She seems like a really good friend. I want a friend like that - but, now I might very well have one! My head nodded as Alexis asked if I could read. "I do, I went to school in my village. I mean, it wasn't anything like you guys have here but I worked very hard! I got into college here!" I was quite proud of myself for doing well enough on my exams to get into one of these sort of places in my desired field. My parents had to help a WHOLE bunch but I was going to be the first girl from the village we lived at to go to a real school. It was hard but I refused to let my mom and papa down! "Maybe Raven can come with us to celebrate your birthday? It could be fun, yeah? I'd love to meet her someday?" I inquired, leaving the invitation open. After all, I didn't know Raven, or really know much about their relationship at all, I didn't want to presume anything but you should have your friends and family with you on your birthday, right?

It was the mention of my family, however, that seemed to intrigue my newfound friend, her question lingering on them. I was hardly worried of her prying though, instead I was quite happy to answer her, my head bobbing enthusiastically. "They were. My papa was one first and then he married my mother and she asked him to change her too, and then I was born a wear too!" It hardly seemed weird to me, the story of my mother's turning. In fact, I thought it was quite sweet that they wanted to have me badly enough that my mother was willing to give up her humanity too. It made me feel special! We had found a life somehow both as humans and as weres and I had quite liked it. Still, I was easily distracted by this notion of coffee. In fact, I was pretty excited about tasting real coffee! "I would love that Alexis! I bet you make the best coffee! I can't wait to try it!" I was quite serious about it! I couldn't wait to taste it!
