West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

She wondered to herself how someone has the time to go out and make friends. She spent most of her time wandering so that was how she ran into people but she didn't have a boyfriend or kids or responsibilities in the pack or anything so she pretty much had all the time in the world. Nadya seemed a little surprised that she would be asking for girl time. Maybe it was surprising since Malia usually was pretty independent and sought out what she wanted herself but hanging out with guys all the time made it a little confusing and she needed a different perspective, especially when it came to intimacy and body stuff. Cause, really, how could guys understand something they never had? She listened as Nadya said that Frost told her about Malia's history. She wasn't really surprised by that. She would figure if she had a boyfriend, she would tell him stuff like that too, plus they were in the same pack together so why not? She nodded and scowled thoughtfully. "It's mostly the expressions and way they say things sometimes. I know about body language but in animal form, our faces aren't as expressive as a human's so it's harder to learn how to figure out their motives. I don't like going into situations blind but in my other form, I feel like I'm blind most of the time."

She didn't like admitting that, her nose wrinkling up in distaste even as she said it. Nadya told her that she thought Malia was doing well adjusting that she seemed to at least know how to get the food out of the fridge. Malia snorted. "Well, that's just as easy as following my nose. I could do that even if I was literally blind." She added on that Frost liked things in working order and she smirked. "Seems kind of boring to always be so strict. But maybe you're just more used to it than I am. Of course, I'm more used to dirt beneath my feet and nothing but trees overhead." She was successfully distracted when the door opened and that heavenly aroma wafted out in full force. She inhaled it as strong as she could, a satisfied sigh leaving her lips as she stood up with Nadya as the man came out. She tilted her head, glancing over his bloodied apron and the bag he held out for Nadya, fully expecting her to take it. She glanced at Nadya in question as she went to take the bag in her mouth. "Is he human? Does he know about Were's?"

She watched Nadya take the bag and go to walk back to Frost's house, Malia falling into step beside her, though she was already licking her lips as saliva pooled in her mouth the closer she was to the meat. She listened as Nadya listed some of Frost's finer features in the pack. She had to agree that he pretty much let her do whatever as long as she didn't get into trouble or do anything too stupid. She scowled at the idea of someone always telling her to what to do and who to talk to. "Wow, that sucks. Your alpha must have been a real jerk. My first pack was pretty awesome. The alpha let me do whatever I wanted cause he wanted me to mate with him and I was the strongest in the pack so no one would challenge me. They just didn't have good conversation skills." She smirked lightly but still had to look away when she said it. It was still a little painful to talk about her former pack since she still cared about them and probably always would. They might not fully understand her and what she is but they were still family.

Nadya asked if she didn't come to the house cause she didn't like it there and Malia thought for a moment before shaking her head. "No, the bed's really soft and comfortable and I don't have to worry about fleas so much. It's just...I know I'm in the pack but I'm still not sure where I belong. Frost is nice enough but I don't see much of the others and I still don't know what I'm supposed to DO. Like, in my other pack, I organized the hunting and made sure the pack was well fed and safe. I patrolled, I fought off competing packs, the works. Caesar had it pretty easy, now that I think about it." Her brows furrowed before she smiled at the memories and then she glanced back up at Nadya and cleared her thought. "I guess you could say I'm bored. I wake up and eat and wander around until I get tired or hungry then I go to bed and do it all over again. There's no one to fight really unless it's just a handsy human and then I have to hold my punches or I'll send another one to the hospital. There's no hunting necessary cause there's always food in the fridge."

She glanced at the bag in Nadya's mouth. "Which I guess I have you to thank for, so thanks." She sighed and then glanced again at Nadya, this time from the corner of her eyes like she was trying to be sly. "So...is it always like that with human relationships? Like, does the guy always stalk the girl and be persistant till she gives in? How do you even meet a guy like that? Do you just keep wandering around until the right one picks up the scent?" She glanced away for a minute and scowled thoughtfully before she looked back at her. "I mean, ya'll can pretty much mate any time you want to, right? That's what relationships are for. And you don't have to have his pups or cubs or horse babies or whatever the heck it is you'd have with him, right? Like there's no set contract on having kids? Cause I don't know if I'd want anything like that if I have to have the guy's kids just to be able to have fun any time I want."
