West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

She did not remember Frost and what he had done to her in the forest. At that time she was plagued by her other, darker half, and whatever happened during that time had been blocked out and filed somewhere else within her memory banks. Perhaps if she had recalled Frost and his ability to cause the veins in her blood to slow down and put her in such an unstable and forced lull state then she may not have antagonized him. Yet her job tonight was to patrol the territory and she didn't mind doing that at all. It would have been nice to have a partner, but Tobias was busy playing in the ring and she didn't want to ruin his fun. Nadya was never around so there was no point calling her. Minn was passed out and she knew she shouldn't wake a sleeping bear. Tetradore was busy within his office, and really, this was her job so she didn't want to ask him for help. Regan was e busy working at Nadya's establishment so she couldn't be bothered. It didn't bother her that she was alone, but there was a small part of her that would have enjoyed some company. Especially now that she had Frost to deal with. It did not occur to her that Alexis would find her motivation to keep the girl safe disheartening. It was no lie. Alexis was not well equipped to deal with the cold-hearted equine and out of their friendship she was willing to take the necessary risks. It did bother her that Alexis didn't have any self-confidence at her ability to take on Frost and she hoped after tonight Alexis would see that there was nothing to be afraid of. Grey-trimmed ears remained laced back tightly against her skull displeased with Frost's comments in regards to her Alpha.

Even though she was not close with her detached Alpha, and probably never would be, she held a lot of respect for him. Compared to her last pack she would rather follow Tetradore than her own Father. At least Tetradore acknowledged she was alive, he provided her a place to stay that was not a cage, and he didn't have anyone follow her around or become her minder. He allowed her to indulge with her books and hardly gave her an order, even if she subtly asked for one, and when it came to meeting Tobias' cubs for the first time â€" he was reasonable with her actions and why she acted the way she did. There were somethings she wished were different. Maybe he could put in some effort to spend more time with the members of his pack and get to know them a bit, if there could be more pack get togethers, and a few other things, but she wouldn't voice her thoughts aloud. The lupine was far too grateful that he had taken her in and allowed her to stay. He was a good Alpha and it angered her so that Frost would deem him unworthy of the title and speak poorly about him. A smirk would appear on her long muzzle, as one side of her black lips parted to reveal her sharp teeth as she coolly retorted back with a venomous bite.

"If you were significant perhaps you'd catch his attention."

A glint of pride could be seen in her now cold steely eyes as she glared at the now verbally burned equine. Her attention was pulled now to the smaller canine and her pleas. This time the she-wolf was annoyed with her friend. A soft growl rumbled in her chest as she turned her form around to face the smaller fox. Why Alexis was so adamant that she leave was something she could not comprehend and now she was annoyed with her. Every time Alexis was in danger she put herself in danger to get the vixen out and safe. Now that there was another individual trying to be all threatening, and having such strong affect on Alexis, was something she intended to fix â€" and fast. Raven didn't have a lot of self-confidence in herself, but fighting alongside Tobias provided her a chance to at least physically prove to herself, and others, that she was at least worth something. After all the times she kept Alexis safe now, of all times, she doubted her? Shaking her head her voice held a gruffer and stern tone not minding that she was being a bit rude to her friend.

"So? He isn't allowed to be here and he must be dealt with. Afterwards I'll get you to Nadya, you will be safe with her I think."

It would be a lie if Raven didn't at least feel a bit pleased with herself at the sound of Frost's equine form being slammed into the brick wall. Indeed he should be a bit stunned with her ability to actually pick him up and throw him. Practice makes perfect and having thought moments in the ring with her spotted companion allowed Raven to hone her new skills and put them to greater use. Whatever language he hissed at her was met with a low snarl as her ebony and grey hackles bristled. As he picked himself up she stood her ground her tail rising up behind her. He did not listen to her vehemently suggestion that he leave the West and she was more than willing to take this task as her own and make sure he got the message straight. His odd movements and his strange bugle sound was met with nothing more than a silent show of her barred teeth, unafraid. While he began to charge ahead she ran straight forward ignoring Alexis' hollers thinking her as nothing more than a nuisance now. She would head straight up for one of his forelimbs, but she would do it in a surprise fashion. He wasn't the only one that could be big. She just hoped her transformation would be fast enough. The ground below her shook due to the sharp hooves that pounded the ground, jaws began to part as she began to shift mid-run gaining closer to the equine, but just before she could change completely to her bigger form and attack him, his hooves managed to pound into either side of her. With a sharp yelp of surprise the lupine fell to the ground. Dazed and a bit confused she tried to get up but felt some weight put pressure on her, the sound of a bone somewhere snapping caused another sharp cry to emit from her muzzle. Lying her head down on the cool concrete her eyes would close as she felt the cold rain beat down on her form, a familiar pain of a broken rib caught her attention. Attempting not to take a sharp breath she slowly tried to bring herself up, but the feeling of her scruff being pulled tightly made her go limp as she prepared herself to be swung, grey paws flying as her head and back slammed into the wall. Falling down in a slump she remained still, her eyes briefly opening slightly as Frost turned her back on her.

There was a furious feeling of fire that was starting to build quite furiously inside her chest. Dark shadows began to slowly slip around her, in a protective manner, as Frost once again spoke to Alexis. The bond between her and the Fox wasn't very strong and whatever Alexis was attempting to say to the lupine was not picked up, because she was sending her own message to Tetradore and Tobias. Her voice, although calm, held a urgent tone to it asking them to come when they could to get Frost out. Yet before she could send them the imagery of Frost and his actions done to her, she heard Alexis agree, as she made it out, join him. This apparently was the very last straw. All this time Alexis didn't believe in her and yet Raven was willing to keep Alexis safe, now all of a sudden, give into Frost and join him...when she could have joined her own. Closing her eyes she whined softly, using this sadden tones to her advantage, as her form began to shift and change. The roar of thunder above helped cover the sound of her bones snapping, the rib Frost had broken, remained broken, but now with her anger at seeing Alexis go with Frost it allowed her to feel numb to the pain. The whines seemed to get louder as she changed, playing as if she had lost, when she felt this was far from over. Quietly one grey paw was lifted from the other, as she quieted a wince when she felt the broken rib agitate her. Even though she was bruised from his massive dinner plate sized hooves, and his good swing into the wall, she was far too eager to at least extract revenge and do, as her role tonight entitled her to do.

As a size of bear she would have a bit more of a punch. One massive paw slammed at the horse's hock to the side, forcing the horse to be unstable. Once again she used her telekinesis to lift Frost and slam him into the wall, but she would do it at least three times stopping finally too allow him to fall to the ground. Though she would place one paw at his side her razor sharp teeth aiming for the front of his limb as she sunk down into the tender flesh. Her head would swing back and forth as she tore this part of him, chomping down and releasing, and grabbing hold of another spot in that particular section. It did not matter if he struggled or attempted to hit her with one of her hooves, which would cause her to stumble and let go of his front forelimb. At this point she would strike her paw down over his neck allowing her dull claws to cut open his flesh and allow his blood to beed up. With a vicious snarl she barred her teeth and grabbed his muzzle and bit down hard on this tender part, enough to allow her teeth to sink in, an ancient gesture of showing just who was dominant. Letting go of his nose she lowered her mauled face as her cold eyes met his one violet eye that was not hidden beneath his blonde mane, her voice holding a menacing and threatening warning.

"You will leave the West side at once. You have disobeyed pack lines and insulted the current Alpha. Should you trespass again your death will be painful and swift."

With Frost, as she assumed, done for. She turned sharply around on her paws, shifting back to her regular form, thinking he wasn't a threat anymore. For once her usual kind eyes were replaced with a harsh glare. She rarely trusted anyone. It was difficult for her to even have that capability of trusting another. The bond they shared, the unspoken similarities of their past, it provided Raven with enough support to slowly start to trust the vixen. Alexis did not seem troubled or scared should she succumb to her terrible half and for that she was grateful for. Yet the very notion of Alexis throwing their friendship away all to join him was a devastating and crushing blow for Raven. For once one of the first individuals she ever trusted stabbed her, and reminded the always cynical wolf, that not everyone can be trusted â€" no matter how strong you think you are close to. Her long legs didn't carry a healthy stride, her movements were short and clipped, as her bruised body screamed at her to remain still. With a low growl her words slipped out in such an unfriendly tone, her teeth barred menacingly at her former friend.

"You decided to go with him? I...I trusted you. Get out of here Alexis and don't you dare step in the West again."
