East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The faerie queen certainly felt safe as she fell into step beside the man beside her. The dark was so terrifying to the young queen these days. Every step she took she was judging whether or not she was alone. She'd even coaxed Dorian into walking her to and from work on some evenings when he wasn't with his vampire lover. But with Troy there was none of that immediate fear. She knew he would take care of her if there were any threats to her safety. She wasn't sure how she knew that he would take care of her. They'd just met, after all. But then again he was the first person that seemed to truly know the way to treat her given her status. She hadn't thought it important to her. Hadn't thought that she would care. And yet after weeks of being mocked for her status by the other faeries at the burlesque, it was remarkable how much she loved it.

She laughed at the notion that she was cool because she ran a burlesque, turning to look at him. "I hate it there," she admitted. "I absolutely despise it. The other faeries are bitches..." She hesitated, the rather optimistic girl faltering on the word she'd chosen. But that was what they were, wasn't it? They'd picked and teased and broken her down for months now. "I hate them. I only do that because of Nadya." She sighed, running a hand through her long hair. "She took me in and gave me a job even though I'm relatively useless at dancing. Trust me, you don't want to see me up there. I have no rhythm."

She led him down the path towards the beach, remaining silent until they were on the beach. Given the late hour, the beach was deserted, which was just the way she loved it, especially when she would come down for long walks with Aiden. From the beach here, she could see the outline of the Ark, and that only added to the safety the young woman felt. She was close enough to the large boat that she could run there in moments. Perhaps even close enough that she could scream and Jackal would hear. But she wouldn't need to scream, she trusted Troy.

"That's the Ark," She said as she gestured to the large boat looming to their left. That was all the attention she gave the cargo ship before she moved to kick off her shoes. "Heels are terrible for sand," She said, leaning down to hook her fingers in the straps of the shoes before she looked up at him once again. "So... not to be entirely blunt... but... tell me about the monarchy you belong to?" She flashed him a smile. "Tell me if there's anyone I have to compete with if I want to win you over to my side?"
