East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

My Own Form of CHAOS

I know Isolt holds the only vampire coven in the city and it's no secret that the witches seem to have their own coven as well. Dav has done well for himself as far as ranks but then I couldn't see him taking orders from anyone anyway. And it's no secret that the were creatures of Sacrosanct seem to be growing in population like rabbits or something so there's at least two packs that I know of. Fairies have seemed pretty scarce though so I didn't expect to hear a monarchy had managed to organize itself somehow in the chaos that is this city, let alone that Isolt wants to meet with the leader of such a group, some kind of peace keeping thing or something. I could care less who likes us and who hates us but she still thinks heavily on what others see when they look at her. A pinch of humanity left, I would say. None the less, what Isolt wants is what she gets so I'll be dragged along for the sake of being her support if nothing else.

I also didn't think someone calling herself a fairy queen would agree to come to Red on the Water to meet up with the owner of the establishment. Since it's technically our turf, you would think a fairy of all creatures would be hesitant to step over that threshold. Their blood is sweet after all and not all vampires have as much as discipline as Isolt and myself. The pub seems to draw the undead to it like a moth to the flame so it will be crawling tonight as it always is. I'm serving drinks behind the bar, giving the usual bartender a smoke break when I look up at the sudden scent of something otherworldly. I would know the exotic perfume of a fairy anywhere. Piercing gray eyes fall on the seemly blonde, taking in her young appearance with a grain of salt since I know all too well that how an immortal looks has nothing to do with their true age. Look at me, after all. I certainly don't look over 170 years old.

She plays the part of confidence as she walks into the pub and makes her way to the bar. I have to admit, I'm impressed. The other bartender walks back over, telling me she can take back over so I nod and make my way around the bar, planning on making my way up to the office to get Isolt herself, sure that she would want to greet the fairy queen first. Of course the cards apparently didn't want to fall that way because I turn my head for one second to wave to a usual patron calling my name when I find myself colliding with a smaller more slender figure. I had looked away for only a second, figuring anyone else would be watching where they're walking but apparently the fairy is more nervous than she lets others know. Of course the moment our bodies are in contact, I can practically smell the hesitance in her blood but my steel gray gaze twinkles with patient amusement as I glance down at her, my arms already wrapped around her to keep her from falling by instinct.

Her stammering only pulls my lips tighter into a teasing smirk. I watch the color find her cheeks even as I take in her flaming red locks, almost as mesmerizing as those of my own girlfriend. She takes a quick step back and I let my arms fall to my sides leisurely, enjoying her clear awkwardness with the situation as a single brow rises. She asks for Isolt and I find myself chuckling as I lean against a nearby empty table, crossing my arms in a completely carefree way as I continue to watch her. "Well you came to the right place but unfortunately you found the wrong pair of arms. I may know where she is but I hope you only plan to use words with her. I'd hate to see you swept off your feet and lose my future wife."
