East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I'm more alive than I've ever been

It was an undeniable and bitter axiom that Isolt had, more oft than not, taken to pondering to some grand extent wether or not Damon would ever find his way back to Sacrosanct, and back to her. There had been a million reasons she had considered for his absence, a cornucopia of assumptions and grim postulations, and none more able to console her than the one that had come before it. And, though she would never speak it aloud, in the most wretchedly deep and darkest depths of the ruins of her paradise, Isolt had found herself wanting to give up on the lover who had left her. She had yearned for the needed reprieve that apathy might bring, the blessed numbness of a jilted heart made hard beneath its crust of ice. Alas, this oasis of jaded solitude was one she could never reach, try though she undoubtedly had. The traitorous barbs of the love she bore him were too sharp, too deeply planted, to have ever been dislodged.

And here he was, to pull her from her self-made darkness.

A rosy flush blooms unabashedly upon Isolt's porcelain cheeks, the mere notion that she was somewhat of a "goddess" was absurd, even if it was only the opinion of a single man. With ease does she incline herself towards him, planting a sweet, demure kiss upon his cheek. A moment of hesitant consideration moves about her before Isolt easily moves to the juncture of his jaw and neck to nip playfully at the tender flesh there. "You are the best of everything," she whispers into the savory suppleness of his skin before withdrawing.

A pair of perfectly-manicured brows pitch skyward at Damon's response to her rather invigorating news, the auburn-haired woman succombing to a bought of playful laughter despite herself. Leave it to him to discover some manner of erotic pleasure in even this most innocent proclamation; though, Isolt cannot with any measure of confidence find it within herself to deny him her consent. Damon had stoked to life a sizzling, tantric fire the likes of which Isolt had hardly felt in this life or the one that she had involuntarily left behind. She had indulged in the inherent pleasures of another's flesh on more than just a single occasion during her mortal life, though she had discovered that, with Damon, she had never experienced the nirvana that she did with him. She was ravenous for him in a way that was wholly unlike her, wholly outside of the constricted circle of repressed sexuality that Isolt had defined for herself. He titilated her constantly, always constructing some new and exciting lascivious venture for her at every turn... and she liked it.

"Damon, I've been through eight years of schooling and two years of residency. I'd certainly hope I could ace just about every test," she quips, winking to display the jovial nature of her retort. "But, maybe we can play doctor. Maybe I'll even let you wear my white coat, and I can buy something... special to wear for you." Her head dips then, a waterfall of glistening copper strands cascading down her shoulders as she eyes her partner with a dark, enigmatic glance.
