East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Magnus is a dog; always been a dog and someone ought to tame him before it's too late and will always be a dog. Or perhaps a tom cat. Without rhyme or reason there was no change, he liked things the way they were. He has everything that he could ever want and has absolutely no complaints. Though he did not lay down with many women any more, he had long passed become accustom to life on his own. In fact, he knew it was for the best with his line of work. Love was only a vulnerability.

However, she was delicious - chewing on her lip like that.

He had to have a taste.

The Scandinavian scoundrel was no stranger to misfortune; even heartache and utter turmoil. This was the way of his life; the punishment for what he was despite the disconnection. He could only guess that it was because of a past life for it started long before he began his career - if only he knew the truth in it all. The little things hardly got to him and he could always make a good time out of a bad one - at least for him. Despite what he may have done, Magnus had a fiery determination to not let life win. There was a spark in brilliant blue eyes that said it all; just how wild and bullheaded he really was.

The grin didn't help. Of course.

"Just a test of your patience babygirl, you'll only come out a better person." He chuckles at himself even though the reality of it was that life really was what you make it. Seeing that she was seemingly painted on the wall, he steps back and leans against the wall to allow her all the space he could give her. The heat was clearly getting to her, he could only hope that the small space wouldn't begin to get to her as well. All he could do is keep her mind off of it. And by the look of the sweet little smile toying with her lips he was doing a good job.

He was about to compliment her name, ask her the meaning before she starting giving him the strangest of expressions - causing him to arc a brow in return. She begins to question him as if she knew who he was. "Uhhh..." Then she got specific. Something about an apartment building and suicide? He smirks; with his track record, his conscious should have driven him into a maddening depression by now. He should have attempted suicide long before the other night. "Not. Not me. You definitely have the wrong person." There is no way he wouldn't remember this either; he partook but not heavily enough to end up in town on a pity-binge.

"Oh right. Must be my doppleganger some girl was telling me about yesterday." He chuckles and shakes his head, he really didn't believe that anyone could look exactly the same as someone else. Unless they were twins of course and he didn't have any siblings. He had been a nomad since he could remember, even in the orphanage in which he grew up. His childhood was agony and it felt like forever; the thought of family only brought on a discomfort he avoided at all costs.

"Apparently I have to meet him." He crosses his chiseled arms across his deep chest and crosses an ankle across the other. "I happen to enjoy my life. I have everything I need and I don't break my back for it." He glances over Miyako a few moments, rubbing his lips together. "What about you?" A strange way to take the conversation but all they have is time.
