East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Frankly, those orange hued cupcakes had never quite appealed to him in the same fashion that those cookies had, much less the chocolatier cakes that held such delectably overwhelming sweetness to them. They were nothing more then the baking world's attempt to create something healthy of that which certainly shouldn't be, at least, as far as Tetradore was concerned. It was judgemental of him, really, and he knew it. After all, that one Frost had insisted he taste wasn't the worst he had ever had. In fact, it had been pleasantly surprising but - it hadn't been mouth wateringly amazing either. He hardly expected for the woman to pluck one of those sweets from the case at his mere inquiry, peeling off the wrapper to offer the man a taste. For a moment, he regarded that 'morning glory' with intense hesitation, only to sigh and reach for that muffin. He placed it in his mouth, nibbling on that peculiar mixture of fruity flavors..only to make a face of uncertainty at the young woman. This, he was sure, was definitely not what he had come here for. It was all....healthy...or something. Still, he certainly had no reason to complain, the man swallowing that muffin with a wrinkled nose only to turn his attention instead towards those glorious cookies that had so grabbed his attention. Maybe he could chase away the taste of that muffin with some of those cookies on his way home. That, he was sure, sounded far more delightful.

It was with that in mind that Tetradore finally placed his order with the woman, requesting fruit tarts and carrot cupcakes and a near plethora of cookies. He watched the way her eyes widened as he finally finished that order, the were-King asking for the entirety of those chocolate chip cookies. That almost playful teasing, however, prompted little more than a shake of his head. "I wish, my staff will probably be through all of those in three days and I'll be lucky if I get three of them." He responded, and yet, he was hardly complaining, really. After all, those sweets he sometimes brought home had a fashion of bringing a little joy to their days. It was a small touch of thoughtfulness amongst the were-King's usually stoic and somber demeanor. Sometimes, they needed to be reminded that he not only cared, but appreciated the efforts they put in for the Ark and himself. His emerald eyes remained steady upon the woman as she boxed up those tart thing's he'd requested specifically for Raven, only for that inquiry of waiting to catch him off guard. His eyebrow rose and with it, the man offered her a small shrug. After all, for alll his usual impatience and demands for respect and all that, Tetradore knew well what it was like to run a business.

Tetradore hardly anticipated the invitation to join her in the back of that little bakery, and yet, he certainly couldn't deny the allure of freshly baked cookies. Rather, his head tilted back ever so slightly, the man sniffed the air as she moved from behind that counter. Hell, for a bite of that, he was entirely willing to wait a little. "Yeah, sure." He responded, trailing after her and through those double doors. The warmth of that back room hit him almost instantly, the jungle cat within him entirely pleased with that warmth. He reached up for that zipper, undoing that leather jacket as he leaned against a small metal table on the wall, attempting to remain out of the way of her own work. His gaze remained intention upon her as she opened that oven, only further prompting that delicious scent of freshly made cookies. Dear God, yes. This was exactly what he had wanted. He watched as she pulled those trays from the oven, his arms folding over his chest in a lackadaisical fashion and yet, Tetradore could almost feel his mouth watering at the near scent of those luscious cookies all chewy in the center from the heat of the oven.

He hardly shifted as she moved by him, her petite form brushing against his figure in the process. Rather, his emerald eyes followed the woman as she shifted towards a small workbench. He hadn't expected for her to offer him as many of those freshly baked cookies as he desired - and Tetradore desired much. His gaze lingered upon those cooling cookies, at least until her voice reached out to him. His gaze turned towards the cakes within the young woman hand, his emerald eyes widening at that offered treat. "Devil's food cake." Tetradore uttered with a sense of awe as he reached out for it. That chocolate delicacy was his weakness, one even Raven had noted as one of his favorites. He peeled that wrapped from the cupcake, biting into it to savor that delectableness upon his tongue. He could hardly help that groan of delight in the back of his throat, at least, until he watched her run her finger over that perfectly smooth chocolate icing. "Oh god, don't tell me your one of those people." He commented, referring to the near ruining of her cupcake before consuming it. "If you split that cupcake and sandwich the icing between the top and the bottom, I'm walking out that door." Tetradore continued, clearly of great judgment of such a fashion of eating that delectable treat. She was a baker for crying out loud, she should know how to properly eat a cupcake!
