East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

kissing death and loosing my breath
The young witch felt the press of the a weight upon her, pushing her back against the brick wall that she weakly struggled to free herself from. Vaguely Serafina remembered the pungent smell of a chemical that had smelled familiar, enough so to have momentarily caused her to panic. She remembered the sensation of arms wrapping around her - the lingering sensation enough to attempt the girl into some action till the feeling of a wet....thing caressed her cheek, causing her to still as her stormy gaze flickered open, attempting to regain a sense of her surroundings. Her gaze felt hazy, her head aching and softly a groan crossed her lips as she slowly refocused on the scene before her. She felt the brush of a consciousness against hers, the wolf's presence filling her head with one simple command, one that she felt rather inclined to obey for the time being.

The fairy on the other hand, put himself back together vastly more quickly then the young witch, springing to his feet in a nimble motion despite the fashion at which the impact had jarred him. He eyed the wolf settled between himself, the girl, and the shiny object around her next. The sapphire's glistening still captured his attention, drawing him in with an almost compulsorily need to obtain the necklace. He stepped towards her and the wolf, his hand outstretched with a clear sense of longing. It was the bounce of a crumbled paper from the nearby dumpster that jarred the mischievous fairy from his goals, his large chocolate eyes blinking rapidly as he regained his composure. His wings expanded again, beginning to flutter in the same rapid, insect like pace it had before, lifting his figure alight. He rose ever so slightly, clearly intending to go over the wolf before a wooden crate came flying in his direction. He banked sharply to avoid it, the wooden box clipping his wing to send him fluttering in the opposite direction. He quickly righted him self, turning abruptly back towards the wolf and the witch, clearly hardly affected by the crate thrown in his direction. In fact, he didn't hesitate his dodging forward movement until the wolf felt for the dumpster, his gaze widening again as the large object slowly began to raise within the air before rapidly being capitulated into his general direction. There was an almost inhuman screech from his lips as he fluttered upwards, having decided that if the wolf was capable of that, then the necklace wasn't worth it, at least, not yet. He headed towards the sky, leaving the wolf and the girl to their own devices.

Serafina, mean while, was quite distracted from the battle at hand for her own benefit. Her interest, although drugged and weak it was, was entirely directed upon the shadows that fluttered around her form. Her fingertips moved in and out of the shadows, fascinated by their presence. Her figure flinched as the dumpster collided with the wall at the other end of the alleyway, finally grabbing her attention from Raven's abilities. "Is he gone?" She inquired, reaching out to grasp a loose brick on the wall, attempting to use it to push herself back up. After all, she was hardly one to stay down long, even if the young witch was thus far incapable of taking care of her self when threats did appear, an unfortunate side effect of her rather magic-less state.
