East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The ebony feline's striking emerald eyes remained steadfast upon the young woman, the neon color watching her every movement, dissecting her every breath. He saw the way her hands seemed to shake, he saw the rapid rise and fall of her chest as she struggled to catch her breath and calm the panic he could quite literally feel rolling off of her. His head tilted to the side at the sound of her soft voice, admitting that which he could already clearly see. He hardly made any indication that he understood the words she spoke, lyrics of protection and death. In fact, the only response he gave her was a large opening of his jaws in a rather feline yawn. The meaning behind it, however, remained to be seen. Whatever knowledge he'd had on those attempting to end her life, the man decided to keep to himself, hardly deeming it worthy of the shift his sibling had seemed so intent to force upon him. Instead, Tetradore was far more interested in the arrow that protruded from his side - the bolt agitating his very movement.

It hardly took long for the man to remove the incessant pain within his side, his saliva breaking the wooden projectile in half. Tetradore knew all too well that the iron tip of it lingered within him. He could feel it in his side with every breath he took. Pain, however, was hardly anything new to him. He was used to the sensation. His system was used to having it flood him with adrenaline. He had an uncanny capability to work through it, to ignore it and so he continued to do so in the same fashion that he was trained to for all those many years. He ignored the girl's amused comment, instead his emerald eyes inspecting the remains of the wooden shaft that was only just barely sticking out of his ebony fur. It was near impossible to see within the darkness that surrounded them, enough so that he was hardly surprised she seemed entirely ignorant of his own suffering. Instead, his gaze watched as the girl visibly flinched upon inspecting the damage done to her arm. She seemed far more repulsed by her blood soaked flesh then Tetradore would have anticipated.

Tetradore watched as the girl picked herself up, moving with almost wobbly gestures as she made her way towards the opening of the alleyway. She didn't bother to glance behind her as she moved, instead somehow trusting that he'd follow. Another small yawn left the man's lips as he considered the options before him. Frankly, Tetradore didn't trust yet that the Dark Hunters were entirely done with her. He might have encouraged them to retreat but he wasn't yet assured they were entirely forsaken on their mark yet. Slowly, the man rose to all fours, turning to pad after her down the street. His side ached with each movement of his left paws and yet he showed no great pain on it, his emotions offering nothing more then an occasional hint of annoyance as he trailed behind.
