East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

"Do you know what I find impolite, Edie? That we weren't even invited. If this is supposed to be some sort of gala for the influential beings of this town then I fail to see why I wasn't invited. I almost get the impression Dareios doesn't like me."

The words are as callous and smooth as ever as Frost merely waits atop the landing, well-dressed form leaning back against the railing as his hands moved to loosely to finishing tying the black and white tie around his neck- the stallion having taken to a rather black and white theme overall this evening. It worked for him, if nothing else. The man taking a moment to straighten his black jacket, folding the collar of his white shirt with practiced care. There was rarely a reason, in this city, to dress so well and yet the man hardly declines to make the effort- invitation or not, as he waits for his pack mate to finish getting dressed. Edie had assured him, several times, that she was almost ready and yet truly the man found he had given up placing any actual hope in such a statement. Fashionably late it seemed, was more to Edie's preference.

"Elskan, my patience is-"

The words remain unspoken as his Beta finally emerges, what little of his violet gaze can be seen gracing her form with a smooth, unsubtle gesture that sees his lips slide into a momentary simper of evident appreciation for her efforts. The woman looked rather exceptional in her dress, the fabric seeming to accentuate her slender figure just as it should, the man finding his gaze given to linger a moment longer then perhaps it needed before he cast his eyes aside and his features once more fall into that ever-present look of neutrality that offered the equine his near infamously cold demeanour. He offers no outward indication of his approval of her outfit and yet the subtly smile it had been afforded is surely proof enough as he waits for the woman to join him. Calliel and Claire having fallen asleep within the lounge room over an hour ago. It is not a long walk to this Red On The Water, Frost having taking the opportunity to assure Edie of her role her tonight. It was, after all, hardly a pleasurable evening out. There was business to attend to. If Dareios would not take his calls and actively sought to dodge his inquires then Frost would go directly to him. Unfortunate, really, that he would be called upon to interrupt this little event and yet Frost found he had particularly little care for Dareios' thoughts on the matter. If the vampire wanted to be difficult then Frost would show him difficult.

He is, however, not entirely foolish enough to stroll into a meeting of the cities most influential entirely alone. After all, many of the more well-to-do within this town had dealt directly with him before. Some he held favour with, others he did not. Edie was simply an insurance policy. Another set of eyes and ears, someone to keep an eye on the room for him. Perhaps even encourage a little co-operation from those around them if need be. Edie, after all, was rather adapt at distraction when she chose to be. It is effortless to stir his own magic to life and afford the suited man at the door a pair of illusionary invitations, offering his arm to Edie with a casual ease as they make their way inside. The establishment had been decently done-up, violet gaze perusing the room with a practised ease, taking note of those present. A vampire running for mayor seemed to have attracted quite the turnout, Frost having taken something of an interest in the politics of it all. In truth he thought Dareios something of a fool to be so open about his vampirism. How long did he truly think the human population would stand by him before they turned to their Hunter saviours? Even one ruling to favour supernatural's would see the dissention start. Chaos and politics is something the equine knows rather well- perhaps better then he should. His attention returned to Edie now.

"Why don't you find yourself a drink, Edie? Let me know if you see anyone else of interest."

He merely gestures towards the bar, quite content to allow the woman to enjoy herself as much as she pleased, waiting for her to move away before turning towards the nearest official.

"You."

He merely waves over the well-dressed man whom had been speaking into a headset and taping upon his ipad since the moment they had arrived, the fellow clearly having something to do with the organisation of this event.

"Would you mind finding your boss and telling him I need a word? Ah, ah, ah, were you about to argue with me?"

One eye lifts, slightly, affording the other man the barest glimpse of their violet hue beneath that mop of white hair, a none-too-pleasant smile working its way onto his features. The assistant having taken on a rather wide-eyed, confused look, mouth quickly closing.

"Very good. Now, go and find your boss and tell him Frost wants a word. Alright? Go."

His more nefarious actions, as always, are smoothly concealed as he steps away. Dareios could choose to ignore him of course and yet really such a thing may encourage the stallion to give out seizures as party favours. How unfortunate that would be. His attention however, moves quickly towards the far side of the room, one figure in particular seizing his focus. Her black dress clung to every curve of her frame with a distinct perfection, the man's gaze held upon her uninterrupted for several moments, appreciating her divine form as such a dress surely demanded before finding himself striding towards her. He recognises Samantha, affording the girl a simple, easy nod, the baffled looking fae man beside her offered much the same as his hand extends, fingers brushing against the elbow of the woman whose attention he desired- waiting for her to turn around.

"Naja."

He had not seen her in....some time. Indeed the only news he had of her was Edie's rather intrepid tale of being thrown from the Ark, the man momentarily taken aback by her appearance here tonight- the image he held within his mind's eye a pale comparison to the real thing. Indeed he finds he had....missed her. Far more then he cared to admit- the barest of frowns tracing his features, her heat signature.....far hotter than normal and yet for now he ignores it. Allowing the vaguest of simpers to linger upon his lips. He is aware, distinctly so, of Samantha and the Fae man. Frost a decidedly private creature. The man he is with Nadya alone, different, less reserved to the one offered in the company of others. The words he truly desires to say held back. Gaze briefly seeking Edie again before returning to Nadya.

"You are not with your pack tonight?"

It has been far too long. That Ark of yours is distinctly difficult to get in to- I would almost think you were avoiding me.

There is far more then one use to his telepathic abilities- these words offered to Nadya alone.
