Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The sound of the bathroom door opening was enough to bring his gaze wandering upwards and towards the hallway that led to both of their separate rooms. It was curious, really, how his heart seemed to flutter nervously with the simple knowledge that Henry would be joining him soon. He had certainly never been anxious around the man when he had been his lover, and as his roommate? Well - he had carefully walked the line then between what was acceptable and what was not. So why then did he feel such butterflies now? Still, the sight of his companion as the man rounded the corner of the hallway with a bright, warm smile upon his features so managed to coax the same simper across Sterling's lips. How many times had he watched Henry come up to him like this - happy to see him? Well, okay, maybe not that often at the end of their relationship. Wait - was it over? It had ended once but...where did that leave them now? Such concerns so utterly managed to eat at his stomach, only feeding on that nervousness that Sterling found himself so utterly struggling with.

He watched his companion as Henry approached, settling beside him on the sofa so their legs touched ever so slightly. It would be so easy to lean against Henry in the way that he once so often did and yet, now, he found himself hesitating from such touches of affection. He watched instead the effortlessness that came with removing the top of that bottle he knew well Henry so loved, the warlock leaning forward to pick up his own plate and so nibble upon his own food, though he found his appetite somehow lacking in the wake of all the last few hours had consisted of. The worry, the memories, the headaches, it was all particularly taxing for the boy, far more than he was letting on. After all, Sterling was entirely assured that what Henry was going through was far worse, even if the man so vehemently denied that which he now was. He was one of them now, no longer mortal, though how long Henry could fool himself or how long he'd bar Sterling from even mentioning it was another matter entirely, one in which he didn't quite want to bring up.

The sound of his name upon Henry's lips swiftly saw his attention deviate from those internal thoughts that so attempted to overwhelm him. Slowly, he put his own plate down beside Henry's nearly empty one, his body shifting in those moments of silence to face his companion and whatever lingered upon his mind. Those words that fell from Henry's lips - words of love and commitment and their own relationship had entirely caught the man off guard and yet, he could hardly deny his own feelings. Still, Henry had always been the more confident one out of the two of them. Dramatic, sure, but still, far more confident than he had ever hoped to be. He nodded ever so slightly, proving the man in front of him the crystalline blue of his own eyes as he spoke, "I think...starting fresh sounds nice." He stated simply, pausing as his gaze shifted in momentary thought on how to proceed before it dawned on him exactly what he said. "Er, no, I meant, starting fresh with you." His words were rushed, quickly trying to ensure Henry knew exactly what he meant. The idea of so leaving the man was utterly painful to even consider and certainly not what he wanted! "I just....it just feels weird to just start where we left off. I mean, I know I remember everything now but it just feels like I went to see a movie on my own life but...it wasn't really mine. Does that make sense at all?" His lips twisted in a small frown, the man trying to explain himself when even he hadn't quite yet figured things out. "Not that I guess we really left off in such a great place anyways...." He muttered, a soft defeated sigh so leaving his lips in that moment.
