Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

this our town of halloween

The Englishman supposed the entire intent behind this position as guide was far more than his simple ability to see and vastly more to do with his capability to safeguard the King from any such malicious monstrosities that so lingered in silence between those tall ominous stalks of corn. Unfortunately, the spirit of Halloween had entirely embraced the chilly, frozen heart of the undead man, prompting him into utter silence even if he could hear the anticipatory beat of their soon to be assaulter's heart. After all, what fun was Halloween when you not only knew the so called monsters existed around the corner but when they were too of little threat to you? It was cruel, perhaps, but the only pleasure he took from Halloween was perhaps in Dorian's own fear, living vicariously in that singular moment through the fae King's ignorance of the world that so surrounded them. He led his lover beside the man holding his bloodied knife without a singular word of warning and when he so pounced, Sebastian was entirely content to simply enjoy the effects of that fear as it so laced his lover's body and every action. Before he knew it, Dorian's arms were so hooked around his waist, clearly seeking some measure of sanctuary.

He could hardly help the laughter that bubbled at his lips, even at the expense of his lover who so clung to his side. "Evasive action?!" He inquired, his voice still holding that hint of joyous dubiousness as he glanced down at the man that so adhered to his figure as if he was but a life raft in a never ending ocean. "I think you mean using me as a shield!" Sebastian exclaimed, however, hardly complained about such a thing, much less voiced any further on the simple fact that he was entirely aware of exactly the emotion that so beset the man. After all, his predatory instincts were nearly attuned to that fear, as much as he so despised such an aspect of himself. As it was, tonight, however, and here with Dorian, Sebastian found little more than simple amusement at such a thing, instead merely drawing his lover closer towards him as he announced they must simply continue forward to find the exit. After all, going back was not quite an option. He was aware, in some regard, to the hesitance that so laced Dorian's frame and softly, with a warm smile, Sebastian found himself offering a singular sentence of reassurance. "I'll see to it you make it out alive, my King." His hand squeezed gently around Dorian's waist with those syllables of consolation, that tight touch entirely fleeting before his palm simply rested there all the same.

He was aware, entirely so, of the tautness in Dorian's muscles as the man remained steadfast at his side, the King clearly prepared for any further onslaught and yet, Sebastian found nothing but stillness within the corn that lined the walls of the maze - at least, they had come to a crossroads of sort. His indigo gaze drifted down the length of both of the dirt paths till the faux road curved out of his view. One path seemed decidedly still, the other presenting them with the echoing sound that Sebastian could recognize far too easily, even though he knew that industrial sound would be entirely foreign to the ancient individual at his side. Still, his navy eyes slowly turned towards his companion, taking a singular step to follow Dorian down that eerily silent path before his lover so abruptly ceased, turning, instead, to point towards the path entirely opposite. The vampire's head tilted to the side as he eyed the webs, entirely inquisitive of how they might be capable of so producing fear to such a magnitude with a spider and yet, he had, after all, given Dorian the choice. He nodded, hardly commenting on the King's dislike of insects beyond simply filing such information away to be later considered. After all, Sebastian himself had, at times, taken sanctuary within places crawling with such things - in crypts and caves and unfinished basements. Insects were, at times, a thing to be accepted only because survival demanded it of the undead man.

Regardless, Sebastian was entirely content to simply lead the way down that new path they found themselves on, that noise creeping every decibel louder the further they went. The vampire hardly paused, however, entirely willing to venture onwards to the inevitability that was the next fright the staff would beset them with. It was, however, the ever increasing sluggishness to Dorian's own pace that saw him falter. The vampire was all too aware of that flutter that so afflicted his companion's beating heart and yet, despite such knowledge of that uncertainty that so crept within his lover, Sebastian answered with a nonchalant fashion. "It is a metal saw...like the kinds for carpentry?" It was perhaps the best explanation he might have been able to provide his lover of that mechanical sound and yet, he didn't anticipate the sudden splatters of fake blood that appeared to line the path with increasing frequency at each turn, much less the dismembered corpses that saw even the vampire pause with inquisitiveness.

He was, at least, relatively certain the corpses were fake, but there was a measure of ingenuity about them that made even the predator nervous to press on, much less bring the one individual he cherished above all else into. He paused, pushing one of the bodies with his toe in a curious fashion as Dorian too muttered thoughts Sebastian himself had failed to speak aloud. Although the scene was crafted with the fashion to invoke the fear that they would be the next victims, they unsettled the man purely from the memories of the corpses the vampire himself had left behind. Regardless, Sebastian remained at his lover's side, following the corner only to find the center laid out in front of them in a still, dark silence. He paused beside his lover, his head tilting to the side to so listen to that beat that he was certain didn't belong to Dorian himself. It was quieter though, stiller and far more difficult to find the origin of if only by the steady, loud thrum of the King's own. Wait - was that...two heartbeats? That rustling sound behind them caused Sebastian to turn much in the same fashion that Dorian too did and yet, his own reaction to such a surprised emotion was so staunchly different from that of his lover's.

While Dorian lept backwards with a cry, Sebastian remained exactly where he was, his top lip only twitching ever so slightly to reveal those sharpened ivory canines. That moment, however, was entirely fleeting before he felt the tug of Dorian's hand upon his wrist, pulling him backwards. That buzzing sound pulled the vampire's attention abruptly from that rising corpse to the masked man in front of them, a clearly taken back look crossed his features as he watched the fellow raise that buzzing chainsaw over his head. Frankly, Sebastian was surprised they allowed the fellow to actually use a real chainsaw. The notion of such was enough to see the vampire step back in a brief moment of uncertainty, hardly reacting with the same staggering dismay that so beset the King. He was aware of that word of Italian and yet, the vampire merely turned to watch Dorian scramble away from him in a fashion that seemed, at the moment, far more dumbstruck then anything else. Instead, his eyebrows raised as the masked man simply ran past him, clearly content to chase the Italian King. Sebastian moved in the opposite direction with slow, steps, taking himself closer towards the opposite exit as he watched his lover and the "monster" with a steadfastness, ready to intervene should that chainsaw get even an inch closer then what he himself deemed safe.

He hardly anticipated, however, the way in which Dorian seemed to change his course to so run at him, much less the King's collision into his chest and yet, Sebastian's arms hardly hesitated to embrace that terrified form. His arms so embraced the man in that moment to provide that sanctuary he so sought, allowing the King to bury his head into his neck as his own navy gaze simply watched the chainsaw wielding man, inquisitive to see what he would so do now. Thankfully, he seemed entirely content to leave them be as a couple of teenagers turned the corner, their chattering entirely loud until that moment their own eyes fell upon their new found confrontation. It allowed Sebastian the much deserved moment to tend to his lover. "Of course you arn't." He uttered softly, his lips pressing gingerly against his companion's forehead before his disentangled himself only to lead the pair from the depths of that circle. He paused just outside the center, his navy eyes glimpsing further down the pathway. "At least there is only an exit, no? Perhaps after this it is time for those treats I promised." Sebastian was, if nothing else, entirely determined to give into his word. Dorian had experienced a taste of those so called tricks, surely some measure of a reward was required?
