Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

As she outstretched her hand to grab and yank Tobi aside, the well-mannered girl was baffled that it actually worked, believing that she wasn't that strong enough to do so. As he stood there, his chest barely heaving due to his natural agility, she felt his cold glare shift from the peculiar preacher to her. Her neck would pivot her head downwards, closer her to her shoulders, a visible form of apology. As the water from the sprinklers burst, long nimble fingers would release her firm hold on his arm, allowing him to escape the touch of the falling liquid. Taking a step back, holding her hands up to her face, as if to block the water from hitting her, she moved away from the sprinkler head as he ripped it out, allowing the water to recede back to the ground. Grabbing her golden-brown locks, the preacher forgotten for a moment, she ringed the water out watching as threw the sprinkler head into the window of the elderly woman. There was a flicker of movement that caught her attention, rotating her head around she noticed the hulking figure of the preacher slowly approaching them with some sort of shiny device in his hand that dimly glinted in the lamppost's glow. The familiar shiny object caused Raven's mind to register that it was a gun, and as he ranted his biblical verse, she purposely moved her form in front of Tobi's urging him to move away from him. The loud sound of the gun going off caused the girl to flinch and let out a soft yelp, a slow hiss sliding through her clenched teeth as she felt a sudden sensation of pain in her left shoulder. Hearing the preacher behind her shuffle around to reload the pistol, her good shoulder would press into his chest, urging him to move as her arm reached to cling to her wounded shoulder. Briefly she looked up to the boy and seeing that menacing dark look in his eyes made her stand still, silently. Dark chocolate eyes seemed glued to her wound and it was when his dark eyes shifted towards her, she stepped to the side allowing him to pass, as he hissed threateningly.

Keeping her hand on her shoulder, grasping it firmly, and tears began to fill in her eyes, but she would quickly blink them away as Tobias held onto the preacher. Wincing she watched as Tobias moved his head to seize the man's throat within his jaws. His long sharp teeth easily tore through the flesh, the sound of his windpipe being crushed echoed over the wailing sirens. As his carcass slumped down to the ground, with Tobi releasing him, she simply stared a bit shocked. In the wild whatever could kill you needed to be destroyed before it could destroy you. This was a basic and simple understanding that any predator thought, especially when there were other predators that could challenge your very life. Her need to protect Tobi was simply down to the fact she cared for him. He was not pack and she broke a coveted law that every loner followed, self-perseveration. That Tobi would kill a man, for her, was actually quite an endearing thing to the Were. With his apathetic reason to his act of murder, blue-grey eyes would simply stare into the chocolate eyes of her protector, watching the golden flecks disappear. Wincing as he moved to grab her wrist she followed obediently as the sirens only seemed to get louder as the blue and red lights got brighter. As Tobi led them down the neighborhood, she would melt into his side, only moving when he did, letting out a muffled hiss each time she felt the agonizing pain of moving her shoulder. Using her control over the shadows, to enhance their camouflage, she would only dismantle it as soon as they crossed her white fence. Taking out the key to unlock the blue door, she would step in, shutting the door behind them. Feeling for the light switch, she managed to flip the lights on in the hallway and living room. Keeping her hand on her shoulder she was about to head down the hallway towards her room, when she felt his calloused hands grab her. Wincing, she felt his taller form easily force her to walk backwards into the wall of her living room. Puzzled and afraid she would speak up desolately, trying to move her form against his to get away.

"Tobi...please let me go...you are hurting me!"

As the WereLeopard shoved her into the wall, his arms on either side of her cause, bringing a strange sensation of alarm mixed with security. Pinning his arm across her chest, her lithe frame struggled to move, highly uncomfortable. Never had he been this rough with her. Tobi hadn't never stood against her in such a close proximity as this before, even when they slept together, there was a bit of space between them, although each night that space would get smaller and smaller. Why Tobi was acting this way, she did not know, but she wished for him to settle down. As his other arm moved towards her bullet wound, a sharp yelp came from the lupine when his hand firmly grasped the injured shoulder, flinching a natural response to get away from the reason she was feeling hurt. Claws would slice through her shirt, causing the dark fabric to slowly slide down her lithe frame. An overwhelming need to get away from Tobi suddenly increased, her inability to be accepting of her flesh being viewed by another, along with this sudden need to be rough with her, only caused the she-wolf's flight and fight response to go out of control. She could not flight and she could not flee and overcome his strength, and all she could do, was stay put- unwillingly. It would be at this moment, with Tobi's close proximity to her more than usual, that he could pick up Tetradore's scent on her neck as he bent down closer, as he spoke aloud what he was about to do. Tensing up as his exposed claws got closer to the raw wound, a sharp cry came out of the girl as she slammed her head into the wall, unwilling to escape as he dug into the wound to pull the silver bullet out. Flashes of her pack attacking her clouded her mind, as his claw buried itself into her flesh, all she could think about was how members of her own pack would dig their teeth and claws into her. As soon as Tobias was able to take the bullet out, he would move away from her, and it was a good thing he did, because her right arm would fly up and take a swing at him. Blue-grey eyes threw a glare at the male as she pushed herself off the wall, storming towards as the wound slowly began to close up, the blood trickling down her shoulder. As he began to yell at her, explaining what her role was supposed to be, she simply shook her head, as one outstretched finger tapped his well-toned chest, her voice slow enough for him to grasp what she was saying, hiding her tone of irritation- knowing she couldn't yell or it would make him ignore her.

"Who would have protected you? You...didn't see the gun...I didn't want to see you get hurt. You can't always protect me Tobi,I'm a loner- we aren't pack. Besides there was another male cat...a Panther with green eyes...he rescued me out of the zoo- and you weren't there..."

Stepping back she would cross her arms, attempting to cover her scarred form as best as she could, turning and heading down the hallway. With her shirt ripped and the fabric falling to her waist, he would have a clear view of her endowed bosom, but also a flash of color along the left side of her scarred frame. Other than jagged scars permanently marked on her flesh, there was another permeant mark she had done to herself on purpose. Along her hip was a raven with its wings outstretched, its ebony and highlight dark blue feathers seemed to glow from the fires underneath her, a phoenix rising symbol, only the fiery bird was replaced with the species of her namesake. Reaching her bedroom, she would flip on the light and head straight for the bathroom, not caring if he followed or not. Reaching for a towel on the wall one bloodied hand would turn the knob on the sink placing the towel underneath the warm water, soaking it enough and then ringing it out the excess water. Heading back towards her bedroom, with the wet towel on her bloodied shoulder, she would attempt to wash it off as she moved towards the dresser. Snatching a ragged black t-shirt from the drawer she would shuffle towards her bed and sit on it. Placing her wet towel on her navy blue comforter, she would start taking the torn shirt off her, with the intent of putting the new shirt on. Her head would tilt upwards in his direction as a heavy sighed escaped her pale pink lips, her tone a bit softer and not holding much of an edge to it.

"Thank you Tobi...for keeping me safe and for taking the bullet out..."

Raven did appreciate this show of care after all, and really he should be recognized for doing a good deed. Perhaps her words of thanks would be enough as repayment. After all...she took a bullet for him.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
