Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Man-tantrum? One eye arched upward at the off-handed comment of the woman, Frost maintaining his place on the edge of the couch all the same, little more than a dubious look crossing his features in that moment. There was, he was assured, a distinct difference between the first perceived 'fight' and the last. The incident with Raven having little to do with his own poor temperament and far more to do with the wolf poking her nose where it didn't belong. That, if anything, had been more akin to a tantrum on his part. A rather on-sided argument that had seen to wolf ignore his requests to be on her way, attack him and so pay for his displeasure. That second argument had been a true fight with perhaps far more at play then merely irritation and yet he hardly saw the need to comment upon it further now. To do as such would be merely to rub salt in old wounds that had, perhaps, finally begun to heal to some extent. His thoughts on Tetradore still remained unsure and too- any further comments on her brother might so distract her thoughts towards an incident that seemed to insight her fury at him. Frost hardly fool enough to prod the proverbial bear when he hardly needed too. Tetradore had been enjoying his 'revenge' for months. Frost's home constantly besieged, destroyed, tormented or tipped veritably upside down at the panther's pleasure. He was assured he could deal with only one sibling at a time. As such he afforded her words no response, his features remaining ever stoic as he simply regarded her, allowing her irritation to flare and pass.

The child so distracting them both with his declaration, those uttered words of parentage stealing a momentary grin to the stallion's features before the boy was bundled up and carried away from him. The softest look of amusement dancing across his features somewhere beneath that forelock of white hair. Nadya seemed almost put out by his words, as if it were somehow insulting for him to ask whether she had truly thought this plan through. After all, so swathed in emotion as she had been of late the stallion would hardly find I unusual were the woman to act rashly. Selling her business- that very place of freedom and independence she seemed to relish had been a curious move on her part- at least as far as he saw it and yet too- the man was hardly fool enough to inform the woman she was emotional. Women never did seem to like that. Frost merely listening instead to that offered answer before nodding.

"I'm simply surprised you sold it. It seemed sudden. If you're sure on your choices then so be it."

It was hardly his business to worry about, if she chose to take up dance lessons rather than dance herself then that was her choice alone. A part of him perhaps unwilling to admit that he too may well miss several of those numbers. It was cunning perhaps, the way in which he so took up this mention of her children, content to use those kittens as a speaking point of sorts to draw her attention from his crimes against her brother too- in an effort to perhaps continue to coax her away from what remained of that pack within the Ark. Yet- in this his intent was hardly malicious, more so he was simply attempting to display some sort of....care perhaps. Misguided though it was. Frost perhaps notorious for those curious ways in which he so often displayed his affections towards her. The idea of school buses however so momentarily saw the man from his place upon the couch, those words falling from his lips without true thought. Frost himself perhaps surprised to utter them.

"You intend to let them ride a school bus unaccompanied at the age of six or younger?"

Children, after all, so attended school at age two in his own country. The system within this one unknown to him and yet the idea that infants might be left to ride a bus alone, even a child of six or seven, seemed.....irresponsible at best. The man taken aback by his own determination in this. They were hardly his children and yet still it mattered. Frost muttering something unintelligible beneath his breath and large at himself for his own momentary outburst before the sound of Nadya scolding the child saw his attention shift, a soft snort of amusement passing his lips.

"It can hardly hurt her, Naja. It is not real."

He reassured her all the same, the woman seeming unconvinced as she hurried to fish about in the toddler's mouth and pull the remains of that butterfly out, Frost allowing the illusion to evaporate lest Nadya stress herself further. Micah- having escaped his mother's watch had wandered back across the floor, grasping at Frost's jeans to help haul himself upwards, that stallion watching with some measure of inquisitiveness before the boy declared him 'dada' again and reached for that treasured horse toy, Frost leaning forward to hand it to him. This seeming to delight the child enough to, almost, stir another smile from Frost before his attention returned to the woman of his affection once more. That butterfly illusion fluttering back into life to distract the child near her. His shoulders lifting into a soft shrug of sorts at why he so sought the need to question her this evening.

"It has been a time since I have seen you. My inquisitiveness has built up, it would seem. If you allowed my company more often there would be less questions."

A faint chuckle stirred within his throat, very near daring the woman to challenge him as he lent back upon that couch. Nadya suddenly seeming almost exhausted beneath the weight of those questions. He understood perhaps, in at least one way, what she meant by doing things alone. When you learned to rely upon yourself it was....difficult to learn to rely on others and more so- to trust others with your safety. A notion Frost himself often struggled with more than he cared to admit. The man allowing the topic to end for now- that unexpected offer seeing both eyes lift abruptly. They needed a bath? Those violet eyes shifted to rest on the child at his feet with something almost akin to suspicion. This was...outside of his knowledge. Frost never having partaken in any truly parental duties before. Some part of the man fearing the child might somehow drown on his watch. The idea of sitting along in the lounge room perhaps more appealing to him and yet it was, he knew, not truly the response Nadya desired. The stallion eyeing the children again momentarily. The vaguest touch of uncertainty lingering upon him before he bent at last to pick Micah up, eyeing Nadya now.

"What does this...bath require me to do?"
