Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

He hardly anticipated he would have to wait long for the woman to shift a second time, at least, not as long as it had taken her to resume that coyote form. The more she practiced the easier that transition would become, Frost inclined enough to display at least some measure of patience of the girl. After all, she was pack, more or less and that in turn inclined the man to find himself both more patient and protective then he ever would have been over some mere acquaintance. His determination to find her a set of clothing holding perhaps far more to do with his dislike of any member of his pack walking about in used clothing and less to do with worry for her well-being. Malia, he had come to decide, could take care of herself in most situations. She seemed the resourceful type in the least. Frost content to merely provide some guidance of that modern world in those areas she seemed to be lacking lest the girl get herself into more trouble then she already apparently had. His fingers drummed easily against the brick wall that surrounded his home, that momentary flicker of pain within the bond assuring him she was well underway with that change. The woman emerging several minutes later- Claire's shirt, it seemed, far to small- his own jeans perhaps a better fit then he had truly intended them to be. Frost supposing his human form was deceptively lithe in reality and that his jeans, it seemed, were adequate for a woman in some fashion. Perhaps still a tiny bit too big. Either way the woman was afforded that slight nod of approval as he leaned away from the house- Malia falling into step beside him expectantly.

The stallion remained oblivious in that moment to the cold as it bit at her skin and newly bared stomach, his own ability to feel temperatures distinctly diminished and as such making any effort to warm the girl hardly occurred to him in that moment, that walk to the mall, in the least, hardly far. The woman's sudden gasp as they reached those automatic doors saw the snowy-haired man pause briefly in turn, his violet gaze shifting somewhere beneath that forelock of hair from the woman to the doors and back again, a soft huff of amusement passing his lips as he simply stepped inside. Frost pausing once more to allow the woman to come to terms with the magic of doors before continuing to lead the way further into that brightly lit building, the pair passing several shop windows that Frost paid truly little heed too. The equine far more focused upon his goal then any idle browsing, the veritable newness of this for the woman hardly lost upon him and yet he simply continued to move forward all the same- trusting entirely that Malia would follow rather than risk herself becoming lost in a land of magical doors. The girl at last following him into that store.

It was by grace of his affinity alone that the woman's thoughts seemed to drift into his own mind. Her thoughts were...difficult to grasp, after all, to read the mind of someone relatively knew was always more difficult than those he knew well. Her mind a veritable unexplored expanse and yet several of those thoughts found him with a more defined clarity, his gaze drifting down as her hands clenched into fists with that fear that someone might recognise her animal form as she shifted closer to himself in that entirely instinctive response of one pack mate to another. His words little more than a murmur for her alone.

"They know nothing. Almost everyone here is human, you can smell them. Humans are the least observant of any species. Act confident and they believe you are confident."

He was hardly given to offer advice on most occasions and yet a part of the man was inclined to sooth the woman's worries all the same, the stallion merely letting her remain beside him is they pressed further into the store. The man half inclined to wonder if she had ever seen anything like this before and yet given what he had learned off her already he suspected not. His internal query perhaps answered a moment later as Malia approached the closet store mannequin, proceeding to attempt to lift its clothes, his own violet gaze rolling slightly at yet he made no effort to interfere until she questioned him directly. Frost entirely content to let her learn alone until she required assistance, her query on the point of those models seeing his own shoulders lift in a shrug of sorts. Truth be told he was entirely assured there was little purpose to them at all, the stallion rarely paying any attention to them and yet for that goal of education the man offered some suggestion all the same.

"They display the clothes you might want to buy, they are showing you what a certain shirt looks like paired with a certain pair of pants with the hopes you might buy them both."

Whether or not Malia liked the outfit remained to be seen. Frost half-inclined to feel as if he should surely have phoned Nadya to have the woman explain women's clothing to a fellow woman. That notion of outfits and ensembles perhaps lost on him to extent and yet even the equine was willing to admit he held some enjoyment of good clothing. At least enough to desire his pack mate was dressed as if she belonged somewhere rather than the homeless look she had been sporting before. The woman's sudden departure from his side merely saw one eye lift upward in intrigue as the girl hurried towards a rack of winter clothing, her fingers reaching for those fur coats, stroking them almost lovingly before seeming to realise the connection of several of them to living creatures. Her outrage taken out upon a passing store attendant whom hurriedly began to walk the other way, Frost steadily making his way over to his companion once more, his own fingers reaching to idly brush against that fur. The stallion remained silent for several moments as if contemplating his words before turning his attention to the woman.

"Yes, they killed animals for these. Real fur is out of fashion these days, it is not common, a lot of humans and other species disagree with it but some choose to wear it. The choice is your own. If you disagree with it, don't wear it. Some argue that if you kill animals for food why not kill them for fur? Welcome to the human world, Malia, where you have choices to make and morals to decide on."
