Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The Sun Also Rises

It was Sebastian's agreement that Matteo would surely like to receive that proper acknowledgement for his role in Dorian's very creation that so saw the Fae nod once more in a final assertion. He would speak to the man within the next month or so all the same, if only to assure himself that Matteo held no dissatisfaction with having his name listed in those history books and- more so- with perhaps taking on a more notable royal in the Italian Royal House that surely befit his position. The veritable onslaught of media this would result in all but gave him a headache to consider in any sense though too, there was every chance that media might largely focus upon Matteo himself. Whether or not the Frenchman was ready to share that affair with the world when he so took over five centuries to share it was Dorian himself was perhaps debatable and yet too, as Sebastian said, would Matteo not want that recognition after all this time of so being denied the right to claim his child as his own? It was a veritable tangle of unknowns once more and yet before he committed to but any of those discussions it would surely be wiser still to converse with Benito and the legal team in regards to just what a change of Father might mean for his Monarchy, if anything. It was ironic, perhaps, that the very thing that might only further secure his own throne- an immortal Father whom would became yet another legal heir in the Presidents way- might also prove to be the very thing that destabilized it if that legal team uncovered any way in which a veritable glitch in his parentage might weaken his claim. There was much to be considered in this and yet the man could hardly deny the pleasure he so took from the mere thought of removing Ferdinand's name from his lineage. That notion of involving Matteo and even Alexander more within their lives so stirring that soft simper to his own lips.

"I think they would both like that very much. I would as well."

He offered readily. How much Alexander might actually enjoy such a thing Dorian was not decidedly sure. The Hunter had seemed distinctly set against vampires from the beginning and yet too- the Monarch was assured that man would need meet Sebastian eventually. Perhaps such a meeting might be done gradually and yet the Fae King so held every faith in both his Consort and his Godfather to be of amicable nature to one another in every sense. Still, that very thought of family was a pleasing one to the man. How he had once so never believed he might be discussing such things with a boyfriend all his own in a home they shared! Life, sometimes, was distinctly satisfying in every sense. Dorian wholly assured that each and every one of those years he had remained within his own palace was worth the simple sweetness life so afforded him now in its utter perfection. It had been well worth waiting for. It was that mention of Sebastian's family and too that consideration that his brother in the least would should have liked him that so stirred that grin back to Dorian's features. The Monarch not at all ashamed to admit the lengths he would have gone too in an effort to achieve the approval of Sebastian's parents. His status alone, surely, would have helped achieve some measure of acceptance from them and yet how well they might have taken to their son in the bed of another man was perhaps debatable. It was a foolish thought to consider and yet- a part of the man was almost remiss not to be able to seek that acceptance of his lover's family. If only for the simple importance of doing just that. How pleasant it would surely have been to have had at least some relation to the man he adored at those occasions they might surely celebrate over the years. Sebastian's assurance that ranking alone would have been another for his Father met with that soft chuckle.

"I would hope we would get on well. A Father, I think, is the most important being one need win over. I have never quite had to do it before. I might have enjoyed the challenge even if, as you say, my crown may have already achieved it."

He shifted gently within his lover's arms then, that notion of family lingering within his mind still. Dorian wholly content to admit that the family he had somehow managed to craft with Sebastian was by far the nicest he had ever had and indeed, surely, the only one he had ever truly loved. How important family was to him and how finally he might be able to enjoy it. His lips pressed easily to the vampires own in the wake of that admittance, stealing that kiss from him in that sweet touch of affection. The simple love that resonated within Sebastian's own return kiss hardly unfelt. Even Dorian himself was not fully aware of just how much those words resounded within his lover and so managed to chase away but any fears that had remained within the man over that further commitment. Sebastian's softly spoken words so saw that grin upon the Monarch's features near beam in delight. A glorious tangle of emotion rising within him in the wake of them. How utterly meaningful those words were to hear! Dorian so pushing back that thickness within his throat that threatened to linger.

"I hope so to."

He offered simply. The man assured that some things needed very few words at all to express just how much they meant. Dorian shifted to roll gently back onto his back and make himself comfortable once more within his lovers embrace. The Monarch so having Elizabeth bring him that magazine. Dorian wholly content to engage in the utter silliness of completing that quiz about Sebastian himself. That article suggesting that it took only five points before he might be declared Sebastian's true love. Those early questions perhaps somewhat debatable in both correctness and too- how much of a measure of their love so naming Sebastian's supposed favourites might be. The vampire threatening to phone that very magazine itself if only to correct them. Dorian pausing to assure his lover the magazine would no doubt be positively thrilled to hear from Sebastian himself. That soft chuckle humming from within his throat as the vampire so assured him he remained tempted still. Dorian progressed to that next set of questions then, the first so querying just what his lover preferred in a woman, those choices perhaps debatable to begin with as Sebastian mused upon their supposed toughness. The man evidently not about to afford him any clues as to which might be that right answer. Dorian content to consider each possibility before so commenting on the pleasures that female form might offer, amusement lacing his words entirely until Sebastian murmured his appreciation for but one other thing. The vampire leaning forward to allow his hand to brush against Dorian's groin, the simple sensation of that alone seeing the man squirm almost playfully against his lover. How easily he so responded to just that touch! Dorian chuckling softly again.

"Oh do you now? I will admit that I am rather fond of it myself. It is very nice. It is not a quiz about me, I am allowed to be vain if you are not."

That almost impish grin so readily adored his features then, Dorian proceeding to that next question and those listed quotes. He hardly remembered the man stating any of them and yet the last one so sounded distinctly like the man he knew. Sebastian appearing almost sheepish in that admittance that he might have said such a thing, those nurses having taken his words perhaps a little literally as Dorian merely allowed one eye to lift in a wholly knowing gesture. His eyes rolling playfully as Sebastian attempted to hurry past that question. Inquiring as to whether he had achieved those five points required off him. Dorian frowning slightly then.

"I am not quite sure, the answers I know to be right the magazine either does not have or declares wrong. I suppose I got one point for the colour and your age, one for what you like in a woman I shall award myself and I got the quote. That gives me four points. I shall need one more. Oh! I know this one though. What is Sebastian's middle name? Frederick, Felix or Francis. I am assured it is Felix which in turn awards me at least five points. Our thread is clearly not a hoax."

His head tilted upward once more, grinning towards that vampire again. Dorian content to ignore the rest of those questions now that he had achieved that supposed victory, the man turning the page then to eye that photograph of himself with an almost critical look. It was a semi-acceptable photograph, he supposed. Just where the magazine got such pictures he hardly knew. Dorian pausing then to pass that magazine to his lover.

"I feel perhaps we need check your suitability for myself as well."

He assured, Dorian shifting slightly within Sebastian's embrace once more in readiness to hear that first question. A part of the man relishing the utter silliness of the entire thing. It was, after all, so often these moments they remembered. Dorian waiting only so long as it took the vampire to read that first question before pressing his lips to the man's neck in that teasing fashion. Dorian nuzzling almost playfully against it if only for the manner in which he knew how decidedly easy it was to sway his lover's attention with such things. The Monarch leaning away to lay his head upon the vampires shoulder with that impish look.

"I am sorry, Mon Cher? Was that terribly distracting?"
