Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The Sun Also Rises

"Yes, yes Emma, I know."

Those softly accented lyrics easily befell his lips as the Fae King lent back against the leather seat of that town car, one hand lifting to allow his fingers to pinch slightly at the bridge of his nose in perhaps the only sign of any discontent the man allowed himself to display. His PA after all, was only doing her job and yet as she sat next to him with that ipad going over those upcoming events it so had a way of making the man feel exhausted before he'd already begun. In truth he simply desired to get home. He had been gone only two days and yet two days and nights away from Sebastian had felt positively like an eternity. How on earth they had once shown respect for that appropriate number of days between visits during their early courtship he hardly knew, the restraint on both their parts had surely been astounding. Dorian momentarily content to marvel at his own fortitude in this before Emma seemed content to interrupt his thoughts once more with her assurance that the parliamentarian they had visited with had been utterly taken with him and they were sure to have his vote if it came to it. It had been both a stroke of luck and misfortune as far as Dorian was concerned that one off his own parliamentarians had chosen to holiday in a nearby city, one within a few hours driving distance of himself no less, and so expressed an interest in meeting with him. The misfortune so merely came from the man's decidedly daytime schedule so making that trip for Sebastian, in the least, an almost pointless one with the vampire sure to be veritably trapped at the hotel the entire time else merely watching the Monarch catch up on his sleep during the evening. It had been with a great reluctance on both their parts that Dorian had so eventually made that trip alone, the man having used that time to visit that Italian embassy in turn and take care of several more of those pressing issues before at last beginning that long drive home. It had been nothing short of a successful business trip and yet one he could not wait to see the end off.

He had hardly been scheduled to return until nearly four in the morning and yet when those meetings had finished early Dorian had so hardly found himself with any desire to merely sit in the hotel lobby else occupy himself with trivial tasks when he might so easily begin that drive home. The very idea of surprising Sebastian with his early return was a decidedly pleasant one, that soft simper settling onto his lips even now at the thought. Dorian utterly longing to return to his boyfriends arms and their bed after two utterly sleepless evenings without him. Even though he had spent a comparatively large portion of that trip on the phone to his lover all the same it so hardly compared to having him there. It was another hour still before that car pulled up outside Emma's home, his assistant so assuring him of several more details before she finally excused herself, Dorian all but toppling onto the back seat in her absence to so relish that silence, a soft chuckle from the bodyguard within the front seat seeing the Monarch frown slightly before that amusement tugged at even his own lips. It was no more than fifteen minutes later that the car finally pulled up to those gates of that lavish mansion he called home, the car slowly rolling down that drive before coming to a halt, Dorian already near out of the vehicle before the footman had so been afforded a chance to even open the door for him. The Fae King so briefly fumbled with those house keys Sebastian had once gifted him with before softly pushing open that front door, calling Sebastian's name as he did, only to be near ensnared by a truly excitable Elizabeth and a far more contained Charles. The manservant afforded him a gracious bow then as Elizabeth hurried to make tea.

We were not expecting you till the early hours of the morning, Your Majesty.
"My business ended up finishing much earlier then I anticipated and I thought I should like to surprise, Bastian. Is he up yet?"
Only just, he is in the shower, shall I alert him to your arrival?
"Yes, perhaps- actually, no. Do you know what? I should like to see how long it might take him to find me. I suspect lest then five minutes, I think he shall surely smell me or hear me but I should like to see him be surprised."

Charles nodded readily then, that grin resting upon Dorian's features now as his silver-hued gaze so momentarily glanced upwards at the sound of that running shower. Elizabeth returned not a moment later then to begin unpacking those few bags his security had placed within the hall, the young woman pausing to eye him a moment before so politely declaring she had never before seen him look quite like this. One eye merely rose softly at her words, Dorian hardly assured of just what she meant before the woman so suggested she had never once seen him unshaven. Dorian chuckled softly then before admitting he had quite forgotten his razor and that nearly three evenings away and the stress of those meetings had surely resulted in that far rougher feel to his cheeks and chin. The man allowed one hand to run over that stubble now almost absentmindedly. Sebastian, he hoped, might not mind it for at least one evening.

The Monarch shifted easily then, reaching to undo the buttons of his coat and hand it to Charles, leaving him in those jeans and that far lighter, new grey jacket he had been gifted to him by the co-ordinator of Paris fashion week. The man had assured him it was entirely in style for the coming season. Dorian not wholly assured he understood it if only for its utter lack of sleeves. His bare shoulders rolled easily then, that fitted jacket highlighting that slender fitness to his frame and too- that lack of sleeves so showing off his entirely toned arms and shoulders. Dorian quite finding he enjoyed the sensation even if this new fashion was distinctly foreign to him. The Fae entirely more modern in his dress this evening then perhaps he had ever been and yet whether or not he decided to keep such an outfit surely depended wholly on his lover's reaction to it. Dorian shifted away from the base of those stairs then, the man content to leave his lover to finish enjoying his shower and the warmth it surely brought him as he made his way across the foyer and through those glass doors to the garden. Sebastian, he was sure, would take only moments to find him near as soon as he left the bedroom. It was a decidedly short walk to those horse paddocks, that slowly rising moon affording the night its own distinct light as he strolled. How glorious it was to be home.

One hand rested lightly on that wooden fence, Dorian swinging himself easily up to sit on that top rail, his feet resting on another below it to keep himself balanced. His own black stallion was the first of those horses to note his arrival, the creature appearing almost ethereal beneath that moonlight as it swung its head, breaking into a trot to approach him with those two mares in two. One hand lifted easily rub Nikolai's forehead and behind one blackened ear, that grin touching his lips then as those soft Italian lyrics fell from them.

"E 'stato bello portare le tue donne a vedere me, Nikolai. Avete cura di loro bene? Sto aspettando Sebastian. Ti sei anche occupato anche lui mentre sono andato? Ha bisogno di molto da guardare ..."
(It was good of you to bring your women to see me, Nikolai. Have you been caring for them well? I am waiting for Sebastian. Have you been caring for him too while I was gone? He needs a great deal of watching over...)

Dorian was near entirely sure he could already hear the vampire behind him, those last few words uttered just a little louder and in that entirely teasing fashion....
