Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
That scowl upon her best friend's features at the mention of that young child like vampire she'd been forced to spend the better part of an evening with had hardly gone unnoticed by the young woman, even as she huffed at him for those near pointed words. After all, she hadn't wanted to be there any more than Arlo wanted her there! In fact, at least half of the time the young woman had been hoping foolishly that he might magically come to save her or some such nonsense! Instead she'd been collared and bathed like a common animal! It was almost embarrassing! No, no, it definitely was embarrassing - to the point at that Abigail quite purposefully failed to mention those events of the evening. That sigh upon his lips drew those hazel eyes towards him, the man's insistence met with that sudden and enthusiastically firm nod. "I haven't been back! I promise!" Her hands clenched into fists before being brought to her chest so her fingers were touching, the girl entirely attempting to reassure him and , in the process, hopefully chase away that frown that had somehow taken claim over those handsome features. As it was, however, Abigail hardly paused terribly long, quickly attempting to change that topic and get his thoughts away from the odd little vampire as she attempted to explain that title she'd given to Arlo's favorite dessert.

That correction of his name, however, hardly prompted young Abigail to falter, the young woman still considering all those other names she had near missed out on using. How had she not thought of Count Chocula before!?! She could hardly help that grin upon her lips at her own internal thoughts, at least until Arlo quite suddenly declared that he should be the one apologizing, not her! The whole idea was quite silly as far as Abigail was concerned. After all, it wasn't as if Arlo ever did anything to her! He certainly didn't lie to her the entirety of their relationships like she did, for example. She was quick to brush off those worries of being shoved in his clothing or...jumping off that building or even that bar. After all, they had made it out alive and that jump had been like...HUGE! It was a fact that Abigail was rather content to inform him of, even if that compliment had come nearly a year late. Her nose twitched ever so slightly at that mention over the teleportation she knew the man was capable of in place of that jumping, though truly, the girl could hardly decide which one she disliked less. At least with teleporting she hardly had to worry about whether or not they'd reach the other side, but then she had to deal with that icky feeling of momentarily vertigo. Hmmm...decisions, decisions.

Fortunately, Abigail hardly had to consider it for much longer before becoming thoroughly distracted by that topic of the music at that bar. She was hardly surprised by the way Arlo was able to pick apart all that had made that music sound so utterly awful, after all, he was like a musical GOD. Her head bobbed quite eagerly at that sudden invitation to show her what he classified as 'good' music. "Yeah! That'd be fun!" She exclaimed, though truthfully the girl likely would have found it 'fun' to go just about anywhere with her best friend. After all, even she knew that just because that show had turned out bad didn't mean that other ones might not be better - right? Especially if he promised it'd be good! Abigail hardly anticipated that shift in that conversation as Arlo suddenly inquired after what her plan had been for the rest of the evening if she hadn't been able to sort of kind of tackle him in the alleyway. That near bashful look briefly fluttered across her features, even if she admitted she might have intended to totally wait on his doorstep until he eventually came home. As if that was not more stalkerish then she had already done. She pretty much a stalker either which way, now that she thought of it...and yet, Arlo hardly seemed to mind in the slightest, instead inviting her back to that flat she'd visited so frequently as it was.

She'd easily accepted that invitation to return to that place that had almost become her second home of sorts, at least, until that mention of them being invited to a wedding quite fully distracted her. Weddings were hardly anything new to the young woman. Where she grew up was near so small in population that when someone had a wedding, the near entire village took part. Those fancy red dresses and those traditions of Nepal had been entirely captivating to her. She'd seen pictures, certainly, of what weddings abroad looked like. They were all so different with their large white dresses all pretty like! It would be exciting to go see a different kind of wedding! Even if she was hardly knew exactly who was getting married. She could hardly help those questions that fell from her lips, at least, before she was distracted by an entirely different sort of thought all together. The girl turned quite abruptly upon him before declaring that he had promised to take her to the grocery store - it was a promise she had no intention of letting him forget even if she didn't mind letting it slide to next next time. That look of confusion upon his face, however, prompted a small frown on her own, that bottom lip jutting out in a clear pout as she near watched him mentally connect those dots. He totally had forgotten!

That inquiry of whether or not that was all she wanted, however, was met with a ready grin. "Yup!" She declared, falling into step beside him. There was a small bounce to her gait, those rabbit ears upon her hoodie flopping slightly with each step. "I just didn't want to go to the store by myself." She admitted after a moment's hesitation. "There's just so many people there and I...I don't know what everything is and......and I didn't want to go alone." She stated again, the girl willing to admit the truth of the matter. The store was scary and overwhelming and Abigail just wasn't ready for that. That momentary glimpse of vulnerability, however, was quickly replaced by that same girlish giddiness. "So! Next Thursday! You're going to come with me!" The woman was entirely delighted to confirm those plans, as she hopped just ahead of them, turning on her toes to face him but briefly. Abigail was wholly content to listen to those details of that upcoming wedding the pair were invited to. Her eyebrows rose ever so slightly as she settled back at Arlo's side, entirely intrigued by this notion that the Chocolate Man was high and saying weird things. That didn't sound very good. Rather, it was that admittance that Arlo had told the Chocolate Man about her that prompted a grin on his features. "Really?!! Awww, that's sweet!" She exclaimed with a ready giggle. It was sweet that Arlo actually talked about her to his other friends. He and Chocolate Man were friends right?

Abigail hardly anticipated that sudden declaration that Arlo's friend was marrying a KING. The whole concept of it made her stop in her tracks. She stared at her best friend hard, as if she didn't quite grasp what he was saying. "Mr. Chocolate Man is marrying a king?" She repeated slowly, that disbelief entirely clear in her voice. She'd never gone to Italy, much less England. "Really??" She inquired, this word far more of a whisper then any others before it. New places were both super scary AND super exciting. The count definitely was far more important than she was sure either of them realized if he had the Mafia protecting him. This was...just wow. Was this real. "Are you sure he's really real?" She inquired, rather suspicious of this whole thing. There was no way SHE was invited to a King's wedding - right? Was Arlo really that important? He'd never lied to her before....hm. She seemed content to consider this for a moment before the girl saw fit to interrupt quite suddenly. "If it really is a King's wedding, you'd have to wear a fancy outfit I think. Like a tuxedo...all the weddings I've been to they wear tuxedos." Any further consideration of that wedding, however, was interrupted by that sudden push of that lobby door she'd walked in and out of countless times tucked within Arlo's hood. She stepped inside that building, heading easily for the stairs that they'd too walked up any number of times before only for those hazel eyes to turn towards Arlo at his sudden change of topic.

That sheer suggestion of Arlo getting changed in front of her in the cold was enough to make her eyes widen ever so slightly as she quite near stared at him. Abigail certainly knew what he was hinting at, she knew about sex and...men and their....stuff...well...sorta. She knew what those health textbooks her mom kept on her bookshelf said and she knew what happened to men when they were cold, even if she'd never actually seen it. Or really done anything with....well...it. The whole suggestion made that blood near rush to her cheeks, the girl entirely aware of that heat she felt in her face as she quite near turned a whole shade of red. "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh." That singular syllable went on for a really really long time, as if it was SO much of a thought that the young girl had simply stopped functioning altogether for a whole minute. Her gaze was slowly turned from her best friend, before those lips close to cut off that singular response, and yet, even still it was just...a lot to process. Arlo. Naked. Cold. In front of her. What. Like really - what? Um. Er. What do. Oh god. "Um...." Okay. Try again. Wait - what did he ask? He asked her something right? Oh yeah, changing in front of her. Right...her seeing....him. Like....all of him. Um.... "I looked at the wall." The answer was quite literally blerted out, Abigail certainly was NOT smooth when it came to this...thing...and Arlo.

She was almost grateful when they reached the door of that apartment, a soft sound of relief left her lips before the young woman paused at the site of that sofa. That was new. It was a good first purchase though. Abigail was wholly content to make her way towards that couch, poking at it for good measure before flopping quite gracefully upon that black leather, the girl tucking her long legs under her in the process. "I like it!" She declared, eying it for a moment longer as she bounced on it slightly, clearly testing it's durability. It was definitely a real sofa. And it was nice. Her gaze turned near expectantly towards her friend, as if that whole thought process of Arlo naked was entirely forgotten. "Did you sell those coiny thingies then?" She inquired, entirely curious of that treasure of sorts that they had found.
