Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It had never occurred to him that his pack could potentially make Sterling jealous. All he meant by it was that there was a group of individuals that were going to help him learn to control the cat inside of him. If anything, Henry did it so that he didn't hurt Sterling anymore. Henry could not stomach hurting him again and he had already vowed that he would never injure someone else again. At the time that he had made the vow, he had even swore to take his own life before that happened. Now? Now he had so much to live for that he doubted he could really end his life on account of the cat. No. He would learn to control his cat...he had to. He couldn't hurt Sterling.

Henry had brought Sterling into the bedroom and eased him into the bed before kicking off his shoes and joining him. He hadn't realized that in his time at the hospital, he had been granted another power â€" something with plants. Though it hardly surprised Henry, it was definitely something he was not expecting to see.

As Henry pulled Sterling close in an effort to spoon him, he felt his boyfriend stir in the bed. Sterling turned to face him and Henry readily wrapped his arms around his boyfriend, simultaneously pulling the covers over them to keep them warm. He heard Sterling's small utterance and he sighed softly as he leaned forward to press his lips to the top of Sterling's forehead. "I'm sorry for not coming back." Had he known that Sterling had survived his brutal attack, he might have returned sooner. But he had not been privy to that information so he had stayed away, trying to learn about this feline part of himself that he had so easily grown to hate.

In this moment, Henry was so unwilling to let Sterling go. He just wanted to hold him close, to finally be able to let him know that he wasn't going anywhere â€" at least not anymore. He wasn't sure how he would manage his time between Sterling and his new pack, but he would figure something out.

He let the silence fill the room for a moment, trying to just enjoy the feel of his boyfriend locked away in his embrace. It had been far too long since he had been able to hold Sterling in this fashion. His closeness was clearly having an effect on Henry, but he would not allow himself to fall into temptation. Henry wasn't even sure he was ready for any type of intimacy after what had happened. It had scared him in a way he couldn't have ever dreamed of. And now, he had a form of PTSD. But Henry understood that Sterling probably had something similar. After all he was the one who had gotten mauled.
