Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

sharp objects make me giddy

I wouldn't allow him to take me to the hospital if he tried. I hate hospitals. Just the smell of them makes me nauseous. I'm a hunter, I should be able to heal myself but this time I need some help and I plan on making him that help whether he wants to or not. Plus I remember his fear of needles and while it amuses me to no end, I don't want to see him all squirmy and nervous. Somehow the idea of it is unsettling to me. I shake my head as he speaks.

"You're impossible, you know that?!"

I find my temper making its debut, fire in my eyes at the thought of him with "as many women" as he can entice to his bed. The image makes me sick to my stomach. I take a step back, my skin tingling for a new reason now. My voice is low now, dangerously so.

"Yeah, maybe you should use your powers more, get all the satisfaction you've been craving. That's why you have it right? Might as well make it good for something."

I look away, the hot tears suddenly burning my eyes only making me more angry. Why the hell does he get under my skin like this? Why can't I just not care? When the subject transferred to what transpired earlier, I call him out and he retaliates as I knew he would. I clench my jaw.

"At least I made a mark on her. What'd you do, besides seduce the leopard?"

I hiss through my teeth. He chuckles and I try to ignore the heat in my body at just that sound. I can tell he's not at all excited about fixing my arm. Of course, I didn't expect him to be. I shake my head.

"It's dislocated, genius. You'll put it back into socket. Just grab and pull."

I hold my arm out tenderly but he's too busy looking at his damn phone screen. I sigh in resignation. Men and their toys. My lips tighten when he speaks.

"Good, you can use whatever you're feeling to put my shoulder back into place. Being calm doesn't really put the right amount of umph into it."

His next words make my eyes narrow in daring. Of course he'd be all for removing clothing. I glance down.

"I don't see any obstructive clothing, sorry."

He brings the screen around to show his proof and I give him my most bored expression. Really? He's going to listen to Dr. Google? As his hands move to my shirt, I freeze, my breath catching as I search his expression curiously. His hand brushes my hip and the knife I have hidden there and again air hisses through my teeth. As he pulls the knife out, I raise a brow in silent question. What's he going to do with that? I thought he hated knives. He flicks the knife open and I nudge my head in an admittance of surprise that he actually knows how to work it. I'm about to tell him bravo when he suddenly slices the knife upward, cutting through my shirt like butter. I back into the wall, my hands coming down to stop my from falling as I stare at him in shock. Did he really just do that? He only smirks, looking into my gaze now as his fingers trail over the newly exposed skin. I lower my voice to a daring whisper.

"You do realize we're at a public car wash, right?"
