Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It's not the long walk home that will change this heart, but the welcome I receive after the restart.

When Dorian had extended the invitation for Dareios to join him and his closest friends at what would surely be an extravagant wedding in Italy, the vampire mayor of Sacrosanct was flattered. Dorian was quickly becoming one of the vampire's closest friends in the city in which he held public office. The Fae King treated Dareios like he was anyone else. He didn't try to argue with him about local politics, or judge him because he was indeed, a publicly 'outed' vampire, or try to take advantage of his wealth or status. Dorian merely wanted a friend, it seemed. Dareios didn't know whether it was a sorry but accurate state of affairs of his own life that this conclusion was so surprising to him. But nevertheless, he accepted it greedily. It was nice to have someone around that he could be his authentic self with. Well, for the most part.

Perhaps it was fueled by the happiness that stemmed from this newfound friendship, but Dareios shocked even himself when he asked the the curious and charming Miya to be his date at the wedding. Arrangements were made and off they went, on a very long, slow human-way of travel, to Italy for the grand event.

And grand it was. The ceremony for Sebastian and Dorian was beautiful, no detail went unnoticed. Dareios had met Dorian's beau only briefly, but he imagined this was the first time Miya would have met either the Fae King and his newly adorned vampire husband. They were shuffled along with the modest number of other guests from the basilica down the street a grand ballroom in Dorian's personal palace for the reception. Dareios walked quietly among the group down the cobbled street, his hands dug into the small pockets of his black trousers, his blood red bow-tie cock-eyed a bit as he tucked his chin to his chest and walked with his gaze down. Eventually he turned his head to Miya, and smiled sweetly at her, one eyebrow raised. "Beautiful ceremony, wasn't it?" He says, dropping his shoulder so he could bump it lightly but playfully into her own. "Have I told you you look marvelous in that dress?" He did, in fact. Dareios knew quite well he'd told her she looked gorgeous nearly a half-dozen times, but he was in a fine mood tonight. Perhaps it was all the romance in the air.

As they entered the great ballroom, the vampire was quick to snatch two flutes of champagne from a waiter for them. "I told you I gave them a piece of furniture, right? Dorian picked it out himself from the collection downstairs." He mentions to his date before sipping at his beverage. He was, of course, talking about his antiques collection, a business he housed the basement of his brownstone back in Sacrosanct. Dareios had shown it to Miya that night several weeks ago, but they were both quite drunk at the time, so he wasn't sure how much she remembered. "But come on, let me introduce you."

Dareios caught the familiar face of Anna-Marie in the crowd out of the corner of his eye as he grabbed Miya's delicate hand and led her toward where the happy couple was making their grand entrance to the reception. He stared hard at her with his dark beady eyes for just a second longer, struggling to find the connection in how the powerful, little vampire girl knew Sebastian or Dorian. But he wasn't about to let her ruin this trip for him. No, not tonight. Not when he was in such a splendid mood.

The crowds begin to thin and Darios smiles when he catches Dorian's eye. He waves casually to his friend, and raises his glass in a quick cheers to him before stepping forward to talk more closely. "Congratulations, lad." He said with a wide grin, clapping the Fae King on the back of his shoulder. He extended his hand for a firm shake to Sebastian, too. "Congrats." He said with a sharp nod of his head. "Dorian, Sebastian, this my beautiful date, Miya." He said next, introducing her. He gave Dorian a curious glance, as if suggesting this woman was someone who meant more to him than just a generic "plus one" invite, given their recent conversations about romance and relationships.
