Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Malia smirked and nodded toward Nadya, noting her interest. "I'm telling you, THE cutest." Nadya seemed more relaxed after Frost came into the room. Malia didn't see the need for reassurance but whatever. Abigail just screamed innocence. Nadya was a mother. She'd let it pass. She could understand wanting to protect your kids from the world. And from what Nadya had told her, they certainly needed protecting. The kids seemed to be enjoying themselves going through Scarlett's bags. Nadya giggled at their antics before telling them they could play with the gun things outside. Malia watched with intrigue, wondering what the guns did. Surely, Scarlett wouldn't have given them anything dangerous. Izzy seemed to lov her stuffed animal, sitting down and cuddling with it. Malia smiled softly. It reminded her of how she used to feel about her little teddy bear, the one that said her name on it. The only thing she had from her human days, the ones she couldn't remember.

Nadya seemed delighted with the bracelet from Scarlett. Malia still didn't get the whole jewelry thing. She watched as everyone sat and listened, seemingly enraptured with Scarlett's tales of her travels. Malia fidgeted, not used to sitting still for too long. Nadya spoke up at one point and Malia glanced toward her. She though Disneyland was a good idea. Malia glanced at the kids. So there must be something fun there if the kids would enjoy it. Malia shrugged, figuring maybe she'd find something fun there too then. Malia's gaze moved toward someone coming toward her and Abigail. It was Izzy. She smiled, her eyes lighting up at the sight of the sweet little WerePanther. She watched as Izzy held out her stuffed animal to Abgail and asked if she was like them. Malia glanced at Abigail, curious of her answer. She seemed so nervous at first, quiet and reserved, just observing. But she was trying, Malia would give her that. She said it was nice to meet everyone, though Malia could see the blush on her cheeks. She smirked.

She smiled when Abigail reached out to shake Frost's hand, thanking him and apologizing for her intrusion. That made Malia scowl. She was about to say that since Malia had invited her, she wasn't intruding but Frost spoke up first, asking about her hair color. She seemed caught off guard so Malia thought it only polite as a friend to speak up for her and assure him that she wasn't pillaging anything. Abigail finally spoke up, saying she wasn't a burly man thief. That made Malia smirk. "Of course, you're not." She assured her. Abigail seemed surprised when Scarlett offered her candy too. She giggled at Malia's joke about her getting gifts but then they went silent as Scarlett started to talk about her adventures. Malia offered her some candy, trying to be the nice host and smiled as Abigail thanked her and took it. Then she seemed to notice Izzy. When Izzy said the stuffed animal was just like her, Malia caught the sudden tension in Abigail's frame and remembered how scared she was when she first saw Malia in her coyote form. She shifted, listening as Abigail told Izzy that she wasn't like her.

Malia raised a brow. Did she mean that she wasn't a panther? But her attention returned to Frost as he said that if Abigail was pillaging villages, she would have been too much trouble for Malia. She snorted, her eyes narrowing in a teasing threat. "Careful there, I might mistake you for a monkey." She lifted a brow, all too eager to remind him of what she did on the Ark to those badgering little monkeys. Frost seemed amused by Abigail, chuckling when she said she wasn't a burly man thief. He told her to make herself comfortable and that Malia could show her around later. Malia smiled and nodded, eager to please in this case. She liked Abigail and truly wanted her to feel welcome here. She watched as Frost backed Nadya up, telling them to play with the guns outside. He almost acted like he didn't know what they did either. He seemed content with his gift, putting something minty smelling in his mouth before announcing he should let Scarlett vacation more often.

Malia still didn't get the whole vacation purpose. She listened absently as Scarlett spoke of her travels, looking up as Frost said something about museums before she tuned out again. She didn't know what museums were but they didn't sound all that interesting. Frost mentioned a pack vacation, telling everyone to make suggestions and everyone can agree on some place. She scowled, not sure where she'd want to go. Maybe the big park with all the open fields and forests. But she was distracted by the interaction between Abigail and Izzy. Frost came over to tell Izzy that Abigail was a different kind of Were. Then he asked about the toy and what she was going to name it before telling her to go thank Scarlett. Malia scowled. Did her teddy bear have a name? If it did, she couldn't remember. The idea made her sad. Malia glanced over as Frost then sat by Abigail and assured her that he wasn't a predator and no one had eaten him. Malia tilted her head, wondering if she'd missed something.

Frost asked if Scarlett had eaten and Malia's stomach grumbled in response. Oh yeah, she could eat. She glanced over as Scarlett told her she could show her her power if she was interested. In response, Malia lifted a brow. "Could be. Depends on what it is." When Scarlett saw the kids with the guns, she assured Frost that they only made bubbles and that made Malia tilt her head. A gun that made bubbles? Interesting. When Scarlett handed her the necklace and candy, she said that if she didn't want to wear the necklace, she wouldn't be offended. Malia scowled thoughtfully. "Wear it? Like a collar?" She didn't get the whole jewelry thing but if it meant anything of ownership, she wanted nothing to do with it. She did like the candy though. Malia gazed over as Scarlett started talking to Izzy, asking what she named her stuffed animal before asking Micah what he named his. At least Scarlett sounded eager to eat too. Malia smirked, definitely a fan of eating. She glanced at Abigail. "You'll stay to eat with us, too, right? Shouldn't leave with an empty stomach. I've heard it's bad luck." Of course, she'd never heard that before but Abigail didn't need to know that, right?
