Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Dorian Ellington-AragonaThe King of Italy

There was a very sweetness of sorts to that admittance that Sebastian had indeed been attempting to find a raspberry within what remained off his meal. The vampire so wholly taken with that simplistic task that he had all but forgotten the paperwork that rested beside him and the list of names and events he was so supposed to go through with diligence if only so those next few months could be planned out. Dorian could so hardly help that warm simper that found his lips at the very notion his husband had enjoyed that unusual breakfast well enough to not only forgo that work, but too, allow his own tea to grow cold in the interim. The Monarch inclined to find a near genuine pleasure in a moment so simple as this. When near all the world so seemed inclined to demand something from them, when that paperwork had become a veritable mountain and that list of to-do's had evolved so extensively that it surely required more than one assistant to manage it- there was something so simply amusing in watching his husband hunt for that elusive fruit as if it was perhaps the most important task in all the world. Dorian wholly content to relish these final few moments he might spend with his lover alone, just as they had done for weeks now, before the rest of the world saw fit to interrupt once more. The Monarch so allowing that final chuckle to part his lips as his own paperwork was pushed aside. How loath he was to leave the comfort and privacy of their room and yet- how duty seemed inclined to call all at once.

That soft sigh of reluctance so readily found its way from within himself as the Fae King moved to rise at last, Dorian working to brush away those invisible breakfast crumbs from himself and neaten his suit into something he deemed presentable for that meeting. His silver gaze lifting to Sebastian's own once more as he spoke of those plans and too, inquired after that very merging of assets his lover had suggested some weeks ago. To combine both their property and monetary assets, he had been assured, was the decidedly modern thing to do in every sense. A gesture that further solidified both their marriage and too, so signified that complete union of both their houses. Dorian wholly assured that he was more then willing to partake in such a thing and so assure Sebastian might have access to but everything he owned in the personal sense right along with that joint bank account to be created for them both to share. It was, to Dorian's own mind, quite a pleasing thing and indeed a veritable final step of sorts he was more then willing to take. Sebastian, it seemed, equally as inclined to such thoughts as his husbands own head nodded in agreement. The vampire insisting several papers had arrived for him to sign last night. The very idea that his own name might soon appear on those papers for Sebastian's homes so readily seeming to prompt that near feeling of warmth within his chest. A ready smile finding his features then as his own head nodded.

"I shall see to them as soon as possible then."

He promised. Sebastian standing within that same moment to see to his own outfit before the pair proceeded from the privacy of those royal apartments and out into the main palace at large. Dorian so readily allowed his fingers to interlace with Sebastian's own as they wandered into that hallway. For all he was so loath in having to share Sebastian's attention with his country once more there was a certain pleasantness to be taken in having returned to their own palace after so long abroad and yet- even Caserta was not quite the home the Monarch so looked forward to. How keenly he looked forward to returning to that mansion in the city in the next few weeks. How eagerly Maxwell would surely be awaiting them and Charles and Elizabeth too! His own thoughts shifted once more back to those matters at hand and that very meeting that awaited them, his consideration of that paperwork so prompting that insistence that they had, while away, both been awarded honorary degrees in Bio-Ecology. Sebastian seeming as equally surprised as Dorian himself had been upon the discovery of such things. Bio-ecology, after all, was a subject the Monarch and Sebastian in turn, surely knew decidedly little about. Dorian's own inability to swim perhaps only furthering the sheer ridiculousness of such a degree and yet he could so hardly help that veritable tease that fell from his lips.

That near huff he was all but rewarded with readily coaxed that chuckle from within himself once more. Sebastian insisting he hardly understood why they would be granted such rewards when they had hardly done anything to achieve them. The vampire so at last seeming to realise he was being teased. That chuckle upon the Monarch's lips so turned into genuine laughter then, his shoulder so playfully bumping against his husbands own in that decidedly un-royal moment of amusement.

"Yes, Mon-Cher, I am."

He assured softly. That bubbling laughter dying down once more as Dorian so released his grip upon his husbands hand to fold his arms behind his back in a manner decidedly ancient and yet such a habit was so often taken up by the centuries old Fae in those moments in which he was inclined to deeper thought. His features frowning but slightly with that internal consideration for several moments before, at last, he so declared those thoughts he had considered of late in renovating the throne room- or at least the thrones themselves. Sebastian, he knew, long since having voiced his.... lack of enthusiasm for their current seats. His husband readily insisting they were surely lacking in comparison to other countries.

"I shall be intrigued to see your England's throne when we are there."
Perhaps they might take some sort of inspiration from it? Dorian wholly oblivious to just how grand that throne would prove to be as the pair so paused outside that room t be announced before making their way in to meet the treasurer himself. The man bowing readily before offering those introductions and gesturing them towards their seats. Dorian settling comfortably within his own while Sebastian sat to his left in that place that had become the vampires alone. That talk of finance was, admittedly, not one the Monarch found favour in. The world off money had changed so extensively since his own time that Dorian had long since lost any true ability to understand many of those modern terms let alone to truly appreciate the value off his own assets or indeed the finances he held. The Fae King near notorious for merely glancing at those financials with some feigned understanding. His veritable lack of ability in such an area perhaps all the more apparent to Sebastian in those moments that followed as those papers were pressed towards them. Dorian so barely glancing at that pay they had been issued before passing those documents to Sebastian with the insistence they looked good. His lover, however, so seemed to inspect that documentation far more readily.

The vampires sudden query on whether or not those numbers were right seemed to prompt Carlo to straighten within his seat- as if the very suggestion he may have calculated wrong was all but abhorrent. The treasurer proceeding to glance at several more papers all the same if only to double check his own numbers before offering that firm nod back to Sebastian in turn. I assure His Highness that the payment is correct and approved, the number of zeros is entirely accurate. Dorian's own gaze so moved to glance toward that figure once more, those very words halted upon his lips at that bafflement that seemed to have overtaken his husband. Sebastian querying just where that money had come from. Dorian's own hand reaching out then to rest upon his lovers arm and so draw the vampire's gaze toward him.

"Darling, that is our pay. That is what we get paid to be the King and Prince of Italy. It is from the La Banca d'Italia you see? The Bank of Italy. We are paid by the people and the government. This is what we earn every year."

Dorian so paused then in some effort to afford Sebastian those moments to understand. Even Dorian himself so understanding the manner of getting paid even if he so hardly seemed to truly comprehend that number in any sense. The Monarch, perhaps, mistakenly believing his husband simply did not understand he had been paid rather then any inclination that it was the amount that seemed to concern his lover so terribly. Dorian glancing upward toward Carlo once more.

"Sebastian and I would like to talk about having our personal accounts combined into a joint account, can this be done?"

Carlo nodded readily than, the Treasurer affording Sebastian another curious glance if only to attempt to assure the vampire was quite alright. "Of course your Majesty. It is quite simple, you will each need to sign these and then I will speak to Sebastian's accountants and within a day or so that new account should be ready. I assume you are both in agreement to this?" Dorian's own head nodded once more as Carlo so began to shift through those papers to find just the documents he needed. The man proceeding to slide several sheets of paper towards Sebastian and himself then, indicating where those signatures so needed to be offered before passing them each a pen. An extra piece of paper so passed toward Dorian then, the Monarch so glancing away from his lover once more to eye that bank statement. That is His Majesty's statement from his personal bank account not attached to the crown, you have not reviewed it in several months your Majesty it would be astute of you to do so. It is also the funds Sebastian will have access to once the paperwork has been signed. Dorian's own gaze turned toward that new paper then, the Monarch glancing at those numbers once more and yet, just as before, the Fae so seemed to have little true idea of just what he was looking at in any sense. Dorian all but oblivious to the sheer amount resting within his personal account. Hundreds of billions printed upon that page. Hundreds of years of unspent funds so clearly having accumulated over time. Dorian frowning slightly at that page before glancing at Carlo once more.

"Can we afford to renovate our throne room?"

Carlo so proceeded to blink momentarily in clear surprise. The man glancing toward Sebastian before returning his attention to Dorian in turn. "Yes, Your Majesty, I think that should not be a problem." That warm simper so found his lips once more, Dorian passing that paper to Sebastian in turn for the vampire to see those funds he so stood to have access to once those papers were signed. The Fae so returned to signing his own papers then before pushing them back toward Carlo. His attention returned to his lover a final time.

"Are you quite alright, Bastian?"
