Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Take Me Where I've Never Been

I don't mind working. I like working. It gives me something to do. Is it the best thing in the world? Absolutely not. Working at the café is much better than doing nothing at all though. So, when Alexander told me I didn't have to come in today I was a tad bit disappointed. Sure, I could use a break, but I'd like to be in control when I'll take a day off or not. For the next hour or so I did my best to annoy him so he would eventually reveal the reason why he decided I would not be coming in today and the next. When he told me it was because Anatasia was coming back to town I assumed he was lying. The woman came and went as she pleased without telling a soul when she would be leaving and why. I didn't get my hopes up. Why should I? Having hope in anyone or anything doesn't really help me at all. Hope is that little lie you tell someone to make them feel about whatever crappy situation they are going through. Sliding easily into the luxury car I grab the seatbelt and put it on. Thank God she said we weren't going to have training today, because if that was the reason for the next few days off, I was so going to give him an earful. One eyebrow raises as I throw her a skeptical look.

"A treat? It's not going to be a jar full of sugar cubes, is it? Although that works on Frost, it won't work on me."

Don't get me wrong I like sweets like any other person. Okay, so maybe I really like sweets like any person that can transform into a horse. Thanks to Frost, my once non-existent sugar tooth is a thing of the past. Now, I love sugar. I crave sugar. How many times in that damn café do I walk mast all those sugary treats for our customers? How many times do I walk pass that cursed jar that contains those crispy, delicious sugar cubes? Alexander warned me I would become a fat horse if I ate all those sugar cubes. Well, if I'm going to be a fat horse at least I'll be jolly fat horse! Being a fat horse was not a good thing in the Mounted Unit though, so the dream of being jolly is gone now. As we ease into a parking spot and the vehicle stops, I look around. A museum? It's been awhile since I have stepped foot in one. Stuffing my hands in my jacket I follow her up those chiseled stone steps. As the doors open for us I easily catch up and walk beside her, nodding my head once to confirm her statement.

"My Mom would always take us to a local art museum wherever we stayed. It was fun, we bonded over art."
