Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It was almost odd to see the wary look in Frost's gaze, and for it to be directed at her no less. He didn't even look at her like that when he challenged her to a fight before she joined the pack. She refused to feed off the power a normal predator would feel from such a look though. In the end, she didn't want Frost to look at her like that, so she tried to look complacent. It just wasn't a natural thing for her so she was sure she sucked at it. If Frost's look decidedly not changing was any sign, it was confirmation enough. None the less though, he gave her his arm and took the offered rag before she gave a quick count and pulled the arrow out. She was sure surprising him had to be better than dragging it out and letting him anticipate. Now the arrow was out and his arm could heal properly. He said a lot of curse words when he spit the rag out of his mouth but she shrugged them off, knowing better than to take it personally.

At least he was polite enough to thank her once it was all said and done. He started cleaning up the blood which Malia didn't really understand but she wasn't going to question it. After all, he would know Nadya's reaction more than anyone. She was excited at the prospect of hunting whoever shot that arrow though. It brought her back to the night she was shot and made her feel an odd sense of vengeance. Even if they weren't related, it felt good to be doing something. He agreed that a slim chance was better than nothing and that he wanted her to compare the two arrows in case they were the same. She nodded eagerly and practically skipped up the stairs, though she slowed down when she all but tripped over one of the steps in her haste, grimacing back at Frost in case she woke anyone. She paused, listening, and finally let out her breath when she didn't hear anything stirring. Then she continued up the stairs, more carefully this time.

She made it to her room and crept inside, going to her closet where she'd put the arrow in a shoe box. It just seemed proper, somehow. She held the two up together before shrugging and heading back downstairs to Frost. He looked up in question and at his expectant gaze, she held them both out. "Well, the arrow heads look different and the shafts are different lengths but this symbol..." She pointed it out on the arrow from her leg. "It's on both, so maybe a hunter thing or something more specific?" She looked to Frost for guidance as she pointed it out on the arrow that shot him tonight too. She followed him out onto the steps, glancing around as if the hunter would have been dumb enough to follow Frost home. Of course that wasn't the case, her gaze sweeping back to him as he asked if she wanted to run in her animal form or ride. She tilted her head.

"Like in your car?" She remembered him and Nadya talking about riding as in his animal form too so she wanted to be sure what he was talking about. She was still fighting an internal battle on the whole notion of riding another Were. It seemed almost intimate if you thought about the wording but then it reminded her of animal slavery too. She'd seen Spirit, the animated movie about that wild mustang, you know. She saw the beatings some of those horses took and how they broke their spirits to ride on their backs. She would never be okay with that, but it was different when the horse himself was offering, right? She had to believe that. Plus she would be lying if she didn't admit she was curious what it would feel like to be on such a powerful animal. Okay, she'd never admit that one out loud. He was still an over sized goat.
