What You'll Find Here

Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

death incarnate & night triumphant

What an interesting turn of events! It hasn't been that long, not truly since the release of his magic and fury before he was now retrieving cleaning supplies from the closet. Andras was rather thankful he didn't let his emotions slide easily, the very wave incredibly tiring. The fae wanted nothing more than to sleep, or perhaps fly, though, he had been careful to not roam the skies within Sacrosanct, the city becoming more populated every day. He merely reserved his flight for Somnia, even the cold unable to turn him away from such delight! He's drawn away from his own thoughts as Matteo readily explains that he had his own magical tantrum not too long ago. Dark hazel eyes squinting in amusement as Andras glances at the fellow man, "I can't imagine you... upset, let along destructive," he chuckles quietly as he looks around his own destroyed house. "I would have to agree, I don't think I've ever destroyed an entire home. If we weren't in a city I fear I would have taken the whole building down," Andras states before settling his eyes back on Matteo.

Handing the mop to the man, he relinquishes the tool as they continue to speak about his mother, Andras so making a face with a wrinkled nose and he doesn't miss the way Matteo's face lights up in amusement. Yes, details were best left unsaid. So their conversation shifts back to his father, Andras not caring to dwell on the man for very long, though, it's Matteo's agreement that has the man raising his brows in surprise. He doesn't respond before he finally heads down the hallway and towards the garage, Andras entirely absorbed in his search for the water shut off. The man is entirely unaware to Matteo's dilemma on how to mop, though he imagined he would tease the elder faerie if he had been present. Yet, Andras halts just as he opens the door, dark hazel eyes immediately snapping to the portal.

Scanning the dark room, he flares his nostrils as he scents the air and yet, there isn't anything out of the ordinary, nothing other than his scent. Still, a wariness takes over him, even in his state of... distress he didn't think he would leave the portal open, he had far too many lives to protect. Calling down the hall, the Frenchman answers as Andras questions his arrival only for Matteo to move next to him. The Fae is too distracted by the surprise that so lingers in the man's face, Andreas's brain working faster by the minute as he racks it rather aggressively. As Matteo confirms that he, in fact, did not use the portal, Andras stiffens rather slightly in his posture, the man hardly listening though he responds on more autopilot, "My portals I have around the city are attached to inanimate objects. Traveling by portal can be rather dangerous especially if you're traveling to a different world, so to speak. I'm able to close them and open them at will, though the remnants linger on said objects.

It is hard to find a specific world when there are infinite options," he states as he finally enters the garage, the man moving closer to the suspended black hole in front of him. He pauses only briefly as he scans the garage once more, "This portal is set up in a way that anyone of my court can access it, it is always partially open, all they must do is widen it by simply moving the object," Andras explains again, though he's entirely distracted in his explanation. Walking around the portal, he stops again in front of it before simply closing the portal with a wave of his hand, the Far frowning at the sudden absence of the black hole. "I must have left it open when I returned to the city," he chalks it up, Andras hiding the wariness that so spreads through his bones before he turns his dark hazel eyes back to Matteo.

"Did you hear about Dorian's first experience portaling?" Andras asks, a slight smile tugging at the corner of his lips as he quickly changed the subject. Not that he didn't trust Matteo, he simply wanted to investigate after the faerie left for the evening. "One of my court members shoved him through the portal, needless to say, he wasn't thrilled. I have never seen Dorian so angry before! I didn't think he could get angry," he chuckles as he walks to the other side of the room, finding the water shut off, he quickly turns the valve. "There, hopefully that will help keep us from swimming in an hour," Andras nods, before heading through the garage door and out into the hallway. "Forgive me for intruding, I hadn't realized I was still connected to your mind but I would gladly show you Somnia one day," Andras smiles, the least he could do was show the man the very place he kept hidden to protect his court. He was certain his mother would appreciate such an offering.
