Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

He was laughing. Worse he was laughing at her. She wasn't sure this was a laughing matter. In fact it wasn't. It couldn't be. Laughing at her because she innocently thought they were in bed sick. Why else would she assume that the monarchs of Italy were busy doing anything, but sleeping together in bed. She was not a male. Her mind does not instantly go off towards such carnal thoughts. She liked Dorian. She always enjoyed his company. It didn't take very long for the girl to find some trust in the man. He was different from the few she had met. He was always kind to her and in return she was kind to him as well. Her eyebrows furrow as she attempts to sit there sternly, but her cheeks turn a deep red, betraying her ability appear firm. As he continues to chuckle she crosses her arms attempting to try to grab a hold to whatever dignity she had left. While he speaks she looks away from him, listening, but not wanting to look him in the eye. That she should speak to her husband about such things seemed...odd. There wasn't much she could have a deep discussion about with her deviant companion. She could probably speak for quite a while with that half of him that remained locked away, deep within the caverns of his mind. It was his more present half that she was wary about. Would he even want to talk about it....what would they even say to one another. Shaking her head she muttered quite softly, her voice sounding quite defeated.

"I'm not sure how to even begin such a conversation."

Why the King of Italy would be interested in speaking such things was beyond her. Males. The lot of them were odd, just simply odd. Surely he could discuss such things with other men. Perhaps her husband. Although that would mean he might be inquiring her about things. What if he asked her questions in public?! Maybe it was best that her dear friend and husband aren't left alone together. Such trouble they could brew together. There were a few things the lupine was confident in and on a topic like this it was obvious she wouldn't be to begin with. Similar to her thoughts on whether or not she would be good at her very own honeymoon. The worries that she had done something wrong were cast aside once he made it clear that she could do what she wished during her time alone with her husband. Here and now she didn't wish to discuss everything that she and her husband did. Instead she spun the focus off of her and shifted it back towards her friend. Even with one she was close to she didn't want to have most of the attention focused on her. The idea that Dorian could not do what he wished was baffling. Her Alpha was given the nickname 'King of the West,' because he earned it. Dorian was an Alpha, in her mind, and that meant he could do as he wished and those that served underneath him should follow. In her world it made Were sense, why others couldn't follow along was silly. World would probably be a better place if it did. Shrugging her shoulders she took a sip of her tea, speaking quite plainly.

"In our world Tetra is an Alpha, he is considered the King of the West, because that is what he is. Calling a Were a 'King' isn't a title everyone gets. That moniker came to be, not because he told others to call himself that, but because his peers gave him that title. As Alpha he can do as he pleases, but he must be careful. Not even an Alpha can be unscathed from the consequences of their actions."

Not once did the Were-Panther do something that would cause any ill-will to their pack. Now she wasn't stupid enough to believe that the green-eyed man could do no wrong. He could. Although his actions never came to cause her any harm. It was a shame that Dorian, a King, was being held back by his own people that also claimed some power. Sometimes the world just didn't make sense. Taking one of the biscuits offered she continued to nibble on it until it was gone. With the golden tea set matter settled she decided to bring his attention to another matter, his father. It was an odd topic to bring something like this up, but just earlier he was asking about her intimate activities. As she spoke about him she noticed that scowl appearing on his face. Why was he huffing and looking cross? Was it because of the actions of his Father? Because she would be aligned on his opinion for the matter. Or was he upset about her having children? That couldn't be it. After all he gave her a beautiful old book filled with fun stories, fables to share with her children. He liked the idea of her having children so clearly he shouldn't be scowling at the fact she could be a Mother. Reaching over for another biscuit she munched on it quietly as Dorian started to explain his Father to her. That his Father was capable of looking into the future seemed impossible. Was it a sham that the two would play together, was it a joke? Dorian wouldn't lie to her, she was sure, but still the ability to see the future seemed as if they were pulling her leg. Shaking her head in disbelief she spoke quite assuredly.

"Seers don't exist. It's a cheap parlor trick meant to take money away from the gullible."

With the conversation shifting over to the possibility that she would have children she remained silent pondering upon the idea. She was terrified, absolutely terrified. If it really was possible for her to have children she wasn't certain how it would all go. It was something she and her husband briefly discussed. They both knew that their children would be raised differently and they wouldn't have a normal life like their peers. It would be extremely difficult. Of course she knew she could rely on the pack, none of them would force her to raise them on her own. But she would be alone. She needed a partner and not all the time would her mate be there for her. He would be absent, she would be all alone in the end. Biting her lip she nervously grabbed her fingers and began to hold them, moving them back and forth in her typical nervous fidget. Blue-grey focus on her tea as she muttered quite softly.

"Honestly, I'm terrified. I didn't think Tobias and I could have a child. I mean we were two different species, I always thought that was why we couldn't. Tobias told me otherwise, which is good, but...it won't be easy."

Unable to stay sitting she pushed back her chair and got up starting to pace back and forth worriedly along the verandah. Shaking her head she spoke, her voice raising slightly, the woman clearly concerned by how fast she was speaking â€" non-stop.

"He didn't tell me when I would have my children. I was in the kitchen, worried and he said that my worry would serve me well when I would become a parent. He said it would be an uncomplicated pregnancy, an uneventful birth, and a healthy baby. The child will be gifted in more ways than one, and in time the child will become a leader and someone much admired. He Tobias and I would be good parents, and that there would be some interesting moments. What did he mean by that?! Interesting moments. Is it good? Is it bad? What does he mean....and did you know he thought of teasing me in thinking that the child wouldn't belong to my husband! Then he poofs right after he tells me I'll have two...two."

As she spoke she would throw her hands up in an 'I give up' manner as she shook her head in dismay, her pacing becoming quicker as she went.
