Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

She hated that he called her fruity drinks girly. It made her feel weak for liking them. Well, not today! He told her she should try other beers and she wrinkled her nose but shrugged. "Maybe." She might give it a go but it wasn't worth losing her stomach contents over, that's for sure. Didn't mean she couldn't try something else, though. She was curious of the drink he pulled from his drawer. What did the skull and crossbones mean? Was it deadly? That only made it of more interest to her. He assured her it wasn't poison then asked how she held her alcohol. She shrugged. "Well enough, I guess. I get all warm and giggly." She smiled, remembering how she was with Henry and Tetradore on the few occasions she had a drink or two.

When he asked how many before she felt something, she held up two fingers. Or was it just one? She couldn't quite remember but it was apparent her metabolism wasn't as fast as others, probably because she didn't grow up having alcohol when she wasn't supposed to like more Were's. He told her they should just stick to one drink and she scowled, seeing another challenge but she wasn't willing to step up to it just yet. She wanted to see how she felt after one. Then maybe she'd say she could handle another.

He mentioned shots and she immediately thought of a gun but then he told her about glasses that only held a small amount. Her brows furrowed in question. Why would you only want a small amount? He mentioned the drinks being strong and she looked at it again in puzzlement. What made it so strong? He handed her a glass with the liquid in it and she smelled it, her nose wrinkling at the burning smell. He told her that he would count to three then say go and she nodded, figuring this was a test of some sort that she could follow direction. He told her she had to swallow it at once. She glanced down at the cup in consideration. Shouldn't be too hard.

When he said "go," she threw the whole glass back, swallowing before the taste could hit the back of her throat. But then she went to coughing, the burning sensation making her grasp her throat as she looked up at him with watery eyes. "You're trying to kill me!" She saw how he didn't seem so affected and she reached for his glass and sniffed it, her nose wrinkling again. So he did drink the same stuff....but why isn't he reacting like her? Is he immune or something? He told her she was his Beta now...if she could keep that down. She scowled at yet another challenge. "Even if I can't talk from throat damage?" She hacked out. The warmth was starting to hit her though, and she sat down in her chair. "Whoa...." This must be what they meant by strong.
